For your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 you will actually need to use brake controller wiring harness # 3016. If you also need a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha P3, # 90195. This versatile controller has easy to read diagnostics, presets you can program, and works with electric and electric over hydraulic braking systems.
I included a link to a video showing installation of both the harness and the controller for you.
Wiring harness # 3015-P fits older GM trucks and SUVs (2003 to 2007 Classic models).
