What Is Recommended Spacing Needed When Installing E-Track By Welding

Question:
If welding e-track to a metal floor car hauler what is the recommended spacing intervals of placing the welds if using an @2inch long bead?? I dont think there would be a need to weld the entire length of the e-track. Would you recommend putting the beads on each side of the e-track of course every 12, 8, 6foot ????

Since there is not a set rule on the fastener spacing, it would really depend on the amount of stress you think there will be on the E-Track. The more locations that the track is secured the better. Unless the track will be under a tremendous amount of stress I don't think a solid weld the length of the track is necessary.
The same rule applies if using bolts or screws to mount the E-track. The holes are spaced 2 inches apart center to center.
