Can Slightly Shorter Double-Eye Trailer Leaf Springs Be Used in Place of Slipper Springs

My 4x8 utility trailer is older and suspension is worn out so Im wanting to upgrade from its current 1170 towing capacity. I believe with all my measurements the part # 20440I-EZ-60 axle kit will work. My question is about new leaf springs. Currently my trailer has a slipper style spring that has a bolt for both sides of the spring, meaning the slipper side of the spring slips over a bolt and the bolt holes measure 20 1/2 on center. I didnt know if part #SP-169275 with some shackles would work since it has a measurement of 20 1/4. Do you think this would work and if not any recommendations as to what springs to use. Thanks

Spring # e84SR being slightly off from the existing hanger spacing you have now would require welding on new hangers on a single axle trailer. The end of the spring that uses the shackle strap and is not secured to the hanger alone should be slightly beyond the center of the hanger like in the picture I have included.
There are fundamental differences between slipper spring hangers and double-eye spring hangers though and you may need to replace the hangers you have. New ones should be welded on by a qualified professional welder. I have included a link to the hanger kits for single axles and double-eye leaf springs for you.
