Question:
what spring will lift a 133 lb. door on the cargo trailer
asked by: Don D
Expert Reply:
The M3 Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring, part # CB250D96SHD offers a 250 lb capacity, and is 96 inches long, and would be sufficient for the weight of your door. Depending on the width of your trailer, this might be a good choice for you. The rod the springs mount on can be cut down to 80 inches in length if necessary.
Be aware that the installation should be undertaken by professionals that have experience installing torsion springs. Because of the tension on the springs, a mishap could be disastrous.
