Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen 00:00:02 here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the pliers and wrench set from Performance Tools. So this makes it a handy little set to have if you're going to be putting this into your RV, maybe keeping it on your boat so you'd work on stuff that might happen as you're out on the water, out on the road, or if you just want to have it for home use at your home garage or at the shop or wherever you might want to have them.We get an adjustable wrench, a pair of groove pliers, slip groove pliers and also slip joint pliers. So very handy for all kinds of jobs that you might have in any of those spots. So let's take a closer look. Each of these does have a nice comfort grip handle. Except the one on the adjustable wrench is maybe my least favorite just because it's pretty simple.
But it does have some finger swells here to make it a little easier to hold onto.Typically, you're not going to be using this eight hours a day, so it doesn't have to be super comfortable, but still should be good enough that you can grab onto it. Definitely better than some of the just real thin metal that can be kind of hard to hold onto. The adjustment can go all the way out to an inch. So we can take that all the way out and then you can dial it in anywhere in between or all the way out to 25 millimeters. So you got those little hash marks to help make it easier if you know what size bolt or nut you're trying to tighten. Our slip groove pliers, you'd all have seen these.
Made them look like a little dinosaur. That's what I always like to do. They are all made with a drop forged steel construction, is a steel or an alloy steel. So should be long lasting and pretty durable. Got our groove or excuse me, our slip joint pliers.
And these two have the kind of swells in the top of the handle or the stops there. So it gives you pretty good way to index your hand and it feels pretty comfortable against your forefinger and thumb. And that should be true for lefties as well. This is also ambidextrous, so shouldn't have any issues one way or the other. As far as the sizes, our adjustable wrench is about eight inches. This guy's about 10 and this slip joint is about six inches long.
That's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the pliers and wrench set from Performance Tools. I hope this has helped in deciding if this is the right kit for you. We do have some other options available here at etrailer.com for any use that you might have on your RV or boat or anywhere else. So check us out. Thanks for watching.
