Wheel/Tire Replacement Recommendation for 1972 15 Aristocrat Travel Trailer

Updated 06/08/2015 | Published 06/07/2015

Question:

Hello. I have a 1972 Aristocrat travel trailer. It is about 15foot long from rear to hitch. It has a shower and toilet, so may be a ST model. I want to replace the wheels and tires. It has 13inch wheels and a 15inch spare. Will the vintage Dexstar wheels 9.44inch lug centers fit? If so, what size should I buy? 13, 14, or 15 And, what size tire would be best? Thanks,

To determine if one of the 4 bolt pattern 9.44 inch wheels we offer would fit your trailer you will need to first verify that you have the vintage 9.44 bolt pattern. To do this you would need to measure from the center of one of the studs to the center of one directly across from it. As long as you have the 9.44 measurement any of the rims we offer like this would bolt up.

For a 15-inch rim you want the part # AM20395. A common tire size for this rim would be the ST205/75R15 like part # TR20515D. This tire/rim has an outer diameter of 27.17" and a section width of 7.99" and a load capacity of 1,680 lbs so you would need to verify that your trailer could handle a setup this tall.

For the # AM20208 that you referenced you want the # AM10210 which has an outer diameter of 24.1 inches.

The easiest way to pick out the correct setup would be to first know what your current size is and how much your trailer weighs so that we can pick out the correct size and rated tire.
