I own a 2015 chevrolet 2500 I have my trailer wired according to the diagram but I am not getting voltage from the blue wire coming from the truck trailer plug. Also I am using a 7 pin to a 6 pin round adapter

First, you can remove your adapter and test your 7-way directly to see if there is a signal on the appropriate pin. Often a blue wire is used for the brake controller's output signal and in a 7-way RV-style connector this corresponds to the pin at the 5-o-clock position as you look at the vehicle socket. Please refer to the linked photo.

Your truck may require some wiring connections under the hood in order to activate the 12V power feed to the brake controller and the 12V auxiliary feed to the trailer; please refer to the photos in the linked article.

If you have a signal on this pin then either your adapter was not plugged in fully, is defective or is wired with a different pin configuration. 6-way round connectors can have their center pin wired either as 12V auxiliary power or as brake output. You can use Hopkins # HM47570 Multi-Tow Trailer Connector Adapter which lets you configure for either wiring type.

If you do not have a signal on your 7-way then you'll need to clean or replace that connector with part # HM40975.
