will this part fit directly on the sink drain basket assembly i have an 1 1/2inch drain

The Camco RV Drain Trap, part # CAM37262 is designed for 3/4 inch diameter drain hoses.
The threaded inlet portion of the trap measures 1-3/4 inches at the threads as shown in the attached photo. If your drain hose is 3/4 inches in diameter I am sure you could make this work for you. You may have to enlarge your drain to get this to fit and replace.
