Question:

I am looking for a hitch mount for my Lexus GX 470. Do you carry a bumper mounted hitch that will work for this year? The ones I see on your site look like they will work but are only showing for 2010 to 2015 model years. thanks!

The trailer hitches for your 2006 Lexus GX 470 are frame mounted hitches that do not attach to the metal bumper beam like some hitches for other vehicles. Each vehicle has to be examined and a hitch made to fit at the safest and easiest to reach places. On a 2006 they had to design hitches to attach to the vehicle frame.

A popular hitch for your 2006 GX 470 is # 75155. I have included a link to a video showing installation of this hitch for you.

If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
