No videos yet showing installation of trailer wiring harnesses on a 2014 Chevy Sonic but I have linked the instructions for # 118640. The only part that would be tricky is routing the power wire to the vehicle battery. And even that is not difficult, it just takes a little longer. I have included a link to a help article with tips on routing the power wire for you.

You could use pvc pipe and secure it to the frame of the trailer, but that is way overkill and way more work then you need to do to protect the wires. I would just get some wire loom the correct size for however many wires you have to run, and some…
