How to Install a Brake Controller in a 19995 Ford F-250 with 4-Way

My truck already has a 4 pin but need to install the 7 pin. How would I do that with this connector and a break controller?

To install a brake controller like our best selling controller the P2 part # 90885 in your 1995 Ford F-250 you will need a couple components. First a controller like # 90885, the correct install harness part # 3035-P and then a 4-way to 7-way adapter part # 37185.

If you check out the picture I attached you will see a couple of wires that are run to a connector in the frame rail of your truck between the back tire and the rear bumper. There are more wires coming from the front of the vehicle than there are coming out toward the 4-Way plug. Ford wires the front of the vehicle as if it will be manufactured with a 7-Way plug, so all the 7-Way wires are run to this connector on the frame rail. This allows a 7-Way wiring harness to simply plug in line with the wiring coming from the front of the vehicle. If the vehicle were made with a 4-Way plug, it would plug into the same connector. Because a 4-Way plug would not require them, the additional wires are terminated at the pictured set of mated connectors.

You will need to route the blue wire from the harness to the blue wire of the # 37185. Plug in the # 3035-P to the controller and the truck and you will be good to go.
