Using Silencer Pad # BWTS35020 for Tow and Stow with Drop Down Pintle on 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe

Question:

hello i have a tahoe 2009 and now in will install the silencer pad TS35020 with the new Tow and Stow™ with Drop Down Pintle. is there a trick to get this pads with the hitch in the tahoe mount. pad are to big i can not press all together in. thanks

I spoke with my contact at B&W and since the Silencer Pad, # BWTS35020, is a universal product, it will fit differently on each vehicle and some may need to use greater force in order to get the hitch pin holes on the ball mount to line up with those on the hitch.

Please keep in mind that the silencer pad installs between the face of the hitch on your 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe and the back of the Tow & Stow. No part of the silencer should be pushed into the hitch receiver opening. I have attached a picture of the Silencer Pad, # BWTS35020, on the B&W Tow & Stow Pintle Hook with 2-5/16" Ball, # BWTS10056, to illustrate the installation.
