How To Determine Where the Curt Front Hitch # 31310 will Install on a Vehicle
Published 12/30/2014 >
Question:
Does anyone have a measurement from the bottom of the header panel piece of body color painted metal under the grill to the center of the 2inch receiver. This is on a 1996 f-250 4x4 diesel. I have a brush guard with a lower bar I think will be in the way. Thank you.

I don't have the exact measurement you are looking for, BUT I can tell you how to locate exactly where the hitch opening will be on the front of your vehicle when it is installed.
From the lower mounting hole on the side brackets of the hitch down to the hitch opening will be 5-1/4 inches if you find where that hole is on your truck and then measure down 5-1/4 inches you will now where the top of the hitch opening will be relative to your truck, and then from the mounting surface where the hitch will install on your vehicle the hitch will stick out 7 inches.
Check out the pictures I attached.
