Corrosion Resistance for Marine Use

This jack is coated to resist corrosion, making it ideal for your boat or snowmobile trailer. The tubes and wheel assembly are coated in Fulton's Sharkskin finish. Sharkskin products undergo a test in which they are sprayed with a 5-percent salt solution to determine corrosion resistance over time. These products are able to withstand 1,200 hours of constant exposure to the saltwater mist. This 1,200-hour salt spray rating indicates that a product is not only durable enough to last in freshwater environments, but it can also be used on trailers that come into contact with saltwater. Sharkskin finish is also self-healing, meaning that it minimizes the effects of any scratches that may occur. As a result, this jack will retain its like-new appearance for longer.

In addition, the jack's acme screw, wheel assembly lock nut, and grease fittings all have Fulton's ZMax finish. This clear zinc coating offers a 600-hour salt spray rating, which is also great for marine use.

Dimensions

How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.

Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.

It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.

Trailer and Camper Jack Lift

Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.

I replaced an undersized jack on my boat trailer with this one because it's herkier and the 8 inch wheel is easier to roll on uneven concrete. I recommend it.

Still as good at the first day I installed it. The jack is probably the best Ive every had. It performs flawlessly and looks as good as the day I put it on. I would recommend this Fulton jack to anyone that wants a top quality trailer jack. 5 Stars after a year of usage.

Awesome Jack. Got tired of replacing jacks every 6 months or so due to rusting out from salt on the roads. Decided to go with quality and very glad I did. Love this Jack. Cranks so easy and can tell it’s going to last.

This trailer jack is WELL worth the money. I highly reccomend!

by:

I like the jack. As description says, many great features. But contrary to the corrosion description, this will deteriorate faster than expected due to rust. Jack never in water - just exposed to normal Florida rainfall. Bottom of stand above wheel started rusting first month. Same with wheel nut and holder (see pics). I've wire brushed the bottom 2 times in a year to keep rust off, and covered it with grease to "protect" it. No excuse for rust-able parts on water service equipment. Could be considered expensive for that reason. BTW - Jack only in service 7 months, not a year, which is when they send out these reviews.

by:

This is an very nice jack. I replaced the original standard jack on my 4yr. old 16FT Magic-Tilt trailer. The handle had almost rusted through and it was a bear to crank.
This works so smooth and easy. The finish looks great! Only time will tell how it holds up to the St. John's River, Mayport, and everyday outside.
Very easy to install. Just hook up and remove the old one. Then bolt it on.

by:

This jack is solid. The best part of it is that the wheel spins freely which makes it easier to move around and position it in my garage. Many of the other jacks don't. If there is one small complaint, it would be that the plastic holder that keeps the arm from falling down while being towed (when the jack is horizontal) does not hold all the time. It needs to be a little larger and grip the pole better. But overall very happy with the product.

by:

I ordered this jack for my Dorsey boat trailer and it fits just perfectly. The product is very well built and made to last. A few bolts and it’s all assembled ready to be installed. Very happy with this jack.

by:

Fulton a solid Jack

by:

This jack was an excellent replacement for my factory jack on my 21' Ranger 520VX tandem trailer. The jack provides extra height for taller trucks and does NOT require a chock under the wheel in order to reach the bumper height, as my original jack did.

After 1 year, this jack still functions as well as it did the first day installed. I can turn the jack with 1 finger--very easy and fast.

I highly recommend this jack!!

After 1 year, still works awesome! No maintenance and still works like new. This is a quality jack replacement and functions great! Definitely better than the original jack that came with my RangerTrail.

by:

The Fulton XLT F141133 is a very heavy duty jack. More than needed for my application, but the quality is there. The high lift height is nice. This jack is built like a tank, and should last a long time. Only complaint is the handle stop, that keeps the handle tucked neatly when jack is turned up. Seems a little loose because it is too far from the body of the jack. We will see if it actually holds the handle up. Otherwise this is a great jack. Only wish Fulton would make a little lighter duty with the same quality.

The jack is still working perfectly. I originally thought this jack would be overkill for my application, but the strength of the jack makes it very easy to use. Everything about this jack is amazing, and I especially like the speed of the jack. The little plastic stop for the handle so it doesnt swing when turned up seems like an afterthought of Fulton, because it doesnt always hold, but that is a very minor problem. Etrailer was great with pricing, and customer service, and Fulton is something I would not hesitate to buy again. Well worth the higher price compared to other jacks.

by:

I ordered this jack on a Friday afternoon and it was out the door in less than an hour. It showed up when the tracking said it would even over a holiday weekend. The jack is definitely more heavy duty than the previous failed one. I expect it will be just fine. So far I have been very satisfied with etrailer on all the products and services i have received from them.

by:

I ordered this product to replace an older cheaper Fulton model as I launch my boat at primative salt water ramps and I wanted the extra protection of this jack's coating. The salt water took a toll on my older jack, but that is partially due to the end cap coming off over time and water getting into the inside of the jack. This jack is very beefy and appears to be made very well. The larger wheel is great for me since I push my skiff into the garage by hand and the added size of the wheel helps. All the seals are tight, it just oozes quality, and it cranks so easy you can do it with one finger. I would purchase this product again and I felt that the folks at etrailer were top notch without a doubt. Worth the extra few bucks over the cheaper models!

I have spoken with my contacts at Fulton, and this # F141133 trailer jack has their best caster and wheel combinations currently available on it, and it is designed to be highly maneuverable. It is suggested to reduce the possibility of bending or shearing the outer tube or inner tube of the jack that while maneuvering the trailer make sure that you have the jack at the lowest possible setting. This may effect the tongue weight that the loaded trailer will exert on your trailer jack, so make sure that you are within the lift capacity of this jack.

by:

Very nice jack. Bolted right on easy. Looks good. Recommend this for your upgrade.

by:

The Fulton XLT after one year is still the best marine jack I have ever used. The multiple grease points and solid HD construction make for a jack that should last a lifetime for me. I store my trailer indoors when not in use, so my mileage may vary compared to others.

Now 2 years later its still looks and works like new, the big wheel and sturdy construction have made moving the trailer and boat around a one person job.

by:

Very well built trailer jack. I replaced a failed 1200lb jack with this 1500lb jack on my Tritoon boat trailer. The installation was quick. It used the same mount as the old jack. This is the size of jack that should have come on my boat trailer from the factory.

It works great. We have a big boat. This jack handles the heavy trailer very well.

by:

This is a fairly high quality jack and it fit my trailer extremely well. I love it. The only thing I would change is the flip out clip to hold the handle in place. It is a good idea but just does not hold tight enough. Just a little redesign on this small part and this jack would be perfect.

It is still working great and has had no issues except the little handle hold is still too loose.
