by:

This hitch has worked perfectly for our scenario and use. This is a very nice well built hitch, Thank-you !

by:

Great product. Easy 10 minute install. Adds good utility and cargo capacity to my travel trailer.

by:

Snug fit as others have mentioned. Used a rubber mallet to get it fully seated. Holes closest to the camper did not quite clear the bumper. Had to take a drill to them to take about 1/16 more to get the bolts through. Once installed it's solid.

by:

Haven’t tested it out yet but it feels sturdy, easy to install and looks good

by:

Not installed yet

by:

just received today, mounted it on the bumper vertically so as to make a mount for my waste travel tote for my travel trailer, or i can mount horizontally to use my luggage rack.
Shipping was quick.
So far so good.

by:

This thing is holding up great. I had a different stile before and it broke driving down the road. Causing my cargo rack to fall off carrying my generator and my bb-qer. But this mount has been amazing

I am using the Curt bumper hitch for my travel trailer . I mounted it to the 4x4 bumper . It fit well and will be perfect for holding my kayaks . Would recommend to anyone , great product !!

by:

Great product, solid and easy to install on our Flagstaff Camper. E-Trailer kept a timely Email contact informing me of the tracking progress on delivery. Thanks for the great product and professional service.

by:

I have not used it

by:

Couldn't find the trailer hitch I needed any where but here!! It was the perfect fit and I would not hesitate ordering from etrailer again!

by:

Hitch mount was as info described. Needed to mount a heavy 4 bike rack on my RV. Arrived on time and fit perfectly. etrailer videos were very helpful in selecting the right hitch for my weight requirements. You took the time to make them to support the products, you earned my business because of it.

by:

Thanks to etrailer and Michelle for helping me select the Curt E-100 4" bumper mount cargo reciever hitch. The quick delivery helped us get on our fall trip accordingly. Definatly the right product for this application.

by:

I have a 21.5' Trail-Lite RV that had a plastic bumper. I wanted to put a Bike Rack on the back of the RV, so I bought some 3/16" 4" x 4" square stock and had a welder weld it on the back of the RV. This is a lot heaver duty than a stock bumper. Once the bumper was installed, I bought this Curt bumper hitch, part E-100, from etrailer.com. Installation was a breeze, and only took a few minutes. I used some grease and a small hydraulic jack to encourage the hitch to slide on. You DO NOT need to drill out the holes as some have reported. A 4 pound sledge will encourage the back hitch hole to pop above the 4" bumper. Use some never seize on the threads so it will come apart some day. Here is the finished product, with my e-bike installed. Shipping was quick and FREE! (I ordered over $100 of stuff)

by:

Torqued to spec. and works as expected. We hang a bike rack off of it on the back of a travel trailer. Solid design.

Reason not a 5: There was a slight alignment issue getting the bolts through both sides due to the stampings not being aligned when welded. Once I got the bolts through, no issue, but there was interference with the threads on the stamping; had to turn the bolts through as they would not slip through.
Still would recommend.

by:

The receiver was solid and looks great, but I had to elongate the rear holes and use a floor jack to get the bolts through. If it weren’t for the fact that I had to make the modification, I would have given it 5 stars.

by:

Holding up good like it good product good service Thanks!

by:

Awesome product. I did have one problem with it but it was on my end. The bumper on my Keystone Summerland Series Mini was a little to close to the body so I had to flip the mount over to make the bolts work. Shipping was fast!!!! 4 days including the day I ordered. Would have been 3 but something happened with UPS. I will definitely be buying more products from etrailer Corporation.

Still holding up great a year later. It easily allows me to carry my cargo receiver which has my generator and a couple five gallon gas cans on the back.

by:

Thank you etrailer, I’ve been looking for this bumper receiver for my 38’ Keystone toy hauler for a bike rack. Ordered and four days later it’s here. Installed in 10mins, fits perfectly. I used a flat washer and nylok nuts instead of nuts supplied. Well built and sturdy.

Finally started using it this year it works great!!

by:

Just installed this unit on my travel trailer bumper and it appears to be fairly heavy duty and secure. Did have some trouble getting it on the bumper but used my truck tire jack for leverage & it popped right on (see photo). The receiver is just what I need for my bike rack & 2 bikes that I will be hauling to Florida next month. Safety first & this unit looks well made & will hold to the challenges of the road.

After a year & 2 trips to Florida is perfect! No need to tighten the bolts due to vibration & wear & tear from a 45 lb bike rack & 40 lbs of bikes. I am extremely pleased with this receiver!

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2019 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite with Welded Bumper
Thanks for the photo! I can now see the issues you are having trying to install a trailer hitch on your 2019 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite Fifth Wheel. That said, the brackets for the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13703 and the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13704 are too large to attach to the square tubing used to attach your bumper and this square tubing would get in the way if you tired to mount the hitch to the frame underneath. Each of these trailer hitches have a maximum tongue weight of 350 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs. This bike rack will allow you the bumper mount option by utilizing a compatible 2-inch receiver adapter. This is not confirmed to work with other bike racks but is designed for use on this hitch. • Recommended Adjustable Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 2021 Jayco Jayfeather 30QB
Hey James, In order to find the correct hitch for your Jayfeather you'll need to measure the distance between the inside of the two frame rails in order to get your frame width. From there we can then look at adjustable fit trailer hitches to find the correct fit. For example, the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13704 can fit frame widths from 22" to 66" wide. This hitch has a 2" drop from the mounting points so if your trailer has a rear bumper you might have to remove...

  • Can a Trailer Hitch be Installed on the Back of a Trailer
I am not really sure what you are trying to do but you can install a trailer hitch on the rear of a trailer. There are two different kinds of trailer hitches for trailers, frame mount and bumper mount. The frame mount hitches are much stronger but will require more effort to install whereas bumper mount hitches typically have less of a capacity as they are limited to the bumpers capacity but require less effort to install. Please note that before you install a bumper mount hitch you will...

Hi Matt! There are indeed options to add a hitch to the frame of your 2021 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite. The Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch # 13703 is the one I usually recommend as it will fit almost everything. That said, your frame needs to be between 22" and 72" wide for this to fit properly. I couldn't find a frame measurement anywhere for your camper, so I do recommend double checking that before ordering anything. Odds are you are fine, but I'm a measure twice cut once kind...

It fits dang near everything and has plenty of capacity for carrying an e-bike. That said, you will definitely need to measure your frame to make sure this will fit. The Curt RV Bumper Bike Rack part # E-100 has a tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs so it would easily handle the weight of your bike rack assuming the bumper is also rated for it. The best option for carrying E-Bikes on a a trailer trailer is the Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack # S94FR. The E-Spec holds your bike down with hooks that touch the frame and it can hold up to 70 lb E-bikes and it will do well to carry your two e-bikes on the back of your travel. • Can Any Cargo Carrier Be Used on a Trailer
The 20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier part # 63155 has a fixed shank so there won't be any reason that you couldn't use it on the rear of your travel trailer. If it had a folding shank then there would be issues as the added movement from any accessory on a trailer would create problems in the pivot point for the cargo carrier. The Feedback Sports RAKK XL Bike Floor Stand - Black # 301-17345 doesn't have a weight capacity so it will hold an electric E-Bike up inside a travel trailer. This is designed for a standard storage situation like in a garage where the floor is non-moving though so if you're planning on using this during transit I don't recommend doing so as the unit will bounce around.
