Question:
Great reviews on the Curt E100, including one in which the reviewer installed it with the receiver on the top and not below, as he had clearance issue concerns. Can I flip it so the receiver is on top of the bumper? It would give me more clearance and eliminate the risk of bottoming out my rack or bike tires.

For your travel trailer, I recommend the Swagman Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches or RV Bumpers # S64663. This bike rack will allow you the bumper mount option by utilizing a compatible 2-inch receiver adapter. This is not confirmed to work with other bike racks but is designed for use on this hitch. I recommend using the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 2" Shanks # S64030 for security.
If you want a nicer option, I recommend you use the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 which can mount on top of the bumper and has a 350 lb tongue weight rating. Then you can use the Swagman E-Spec 2-Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches # S94FR which is a nicer RV rated carrier that has integrated locks for security. I've attached a video to assist.
Let me know if you have further questions.
