I got a friend to install it and he said it was straightforward. It's been solid for holding my Kuat bike rack. Was bent in a rear-end collision but insurance replaced it with the same hitch and I am happy with it.

There is a small amount of rust on the hitch where the rack slides in but the hitch still holds strong and does what it should do.
I've been using this receiver hitch for about a year. It's been great! Installation was as expected, I just followed their instructions plus looked at a couple more on YouTube and everything went as planned. I use it mostly for a hitch bike rack but I also occasionally pull my small bike+kayak trailer. My car has very low clearance so I had to add a hitch riser but that's about the car, not the hitch's fault. It's been flawless! Easy enough install and perfect functionality.

Hey Matt! Looks like plenty of adventures in the horizon are now unlocked with the hitch!
After one year this has proven be a solid product and an exdellent design. As the reviews stated, its easy to take on and off of the car. Seems like solid construction, so hopefully I'll have the same opionion after a few years.
Note: in my experience the installation was not the big deal which the manufacturer and etrailer make it out to be. i.e., that one needs to choose an installer from their (very short) recommended list. I brought it around the corner to my regular mechanic. Piece of cake. Since I'm only using it for a bike wrack, I had it installed without the electric harness connection. But ultimately my mechanic could have done that, too. For a few extra bucks. So check with your mechanic before you fall into the black hole of U-Haul installers, et. al.

Excellent product, curtis has been the last 4 hitches I’ve purchased and All of them have been on the money with fit and finish. The paint lasts much longer than the U-Haul I used to get installed, and the installation has been done by me with minimal sweating and only a skinned knuckle. This one fits just right, all hardware accounted for, and gives me the freedom I need to attach things or tow with my Ioniq 5.
The installation went flowless. To make the installation easier, we lifted the car up and removed the large undercover, mudflap and even the rear tires.
My only complaint is that there was no hole for my previously bought U-shaped lockpin (for my 2020 Hyundai Tucson), so I had to drill a hole.

It is excellent
The install video is great! Follow the suggestions made there and you’re good to go. Definitely helpful if you can get the car on ramps/blocks for more clearance.
For the top carriage bolts, the key is to have ALL the bracket mounting bolts very loose—as in only a few threads engaged in the frame rail. This allows shifting the brackets and hitch side to side to give sufficient clearance for those tight top carriage bolts. If you don’t have everything very loose you won’t fit those top ones.
The trimming guide in the video is also spot on. Don’t cut all the way through that forward most rib. That’ll keep the trim in one piece now with the notch for the hitch.
I really liked that this hitch could be installed on my Ioniq 5 without the painful process of removing the bumper and cutting a notch in that expensive piece. The installation went well even though the picture quality in the instructions was a bit poor. As suggested I removed a few extra bolts and lowered the rear underbody panel. Also I removed the small rear wheel mudflaps to give easier access to the mounting bolt area. I haven't cut the opening in the under-bumper filler trim yet as I need to call Curt for some clarification on where to make the cut. Instructions indicate cutting a rectangular hole but it appears the only viable way to reinstall that filler is to make a U cut. Otherwise, a fairly quick job! And the product itself is a high-quality substantial piece of kit.
Great video available for install. Only took a few hours, including trimming the underbody trim piece. Looks good.
I wish the actual receiver was a tiny bit higher and aligned with the bottom of the bumper cover. It would give valuable clearance where every quarter inch counts when a rack is attached and you encounter ramped driveways and such.
Installed on a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq. Drove from Ohio to Florida and back with two bikes on the rack, no issues. Good hitch.
This is a very sturdy hitch, the second one that I have purchased.
Documentation was great. I installed this myself without lifting the car. Ionic 5. It wasn't easy that way but possible to keep it very simple. The Hitch is quite low so make sure whatever you are putting in it doesn't hang lower or even to far out straight. The Hitch is great otherwise.
Installed on Ioniq 5 like it was custom fit. Great instructions and all hardware was included. Needed to lift car using ramps to get access. Some bolts were a tight fit but doable by keeping all hitch bolts loose until all were installed.
I really like this hitch that I bought for my 2022 Ioniq 5. I did the install myself without raising the car and I can tell you it was a very tight and tough install. Great hitch, but I recommend lifting the car and having a helper. e-Trailer had the hitch I needed and at a fair price.
Will be using hitch for a bike rack on 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Hitch was great except for one thing. There are 3 mounting holes on each side of the hitch that connect it to the left & right mounting brackets. I was able to get the carriage bolts in the lower holes and the upper front holes with the fish wires, but there was no way I could get bolts in the upper rear holes. There is just not enough clearance, I tried loosening the mounting brackets but no go! I used other bolts I had from the outside and was able to get the nuts on from the inside. Maybe Curt should make all the carriage bolts mount from the outside and nuts from the inside! Other than that, I really like the hitch. Also the pictures on the instructions were too dark to see anything!

Have had 0 problems. Install was tight but followed YouTube video to install on ioniq 5. I’d have chosen the 1 1/4 instead of the 2 if I had the option again
Bought the hitch for my 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 and installed it myself. Have had it in service for about a year works great. Didn't have to remove bumper to install. Did have to cut part of one trim piece but it was easy. "2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 hitch install" YouTube video shows how but I was able to install without removing wheels. Also a great YouTube video for installing wiring harness is "Ioniq 5 trailer wiring harness install the easy way! Don’t break that car" Good Luck!

This hitch was installed by our dealer. There were no issues installing it on our Ioniq 5. So far the hitch is working fine and we haven't had any issues.
Hitch works great and is very stable on the car… it is a bit low to the ground and will bump on steep driveways, but that’s the trade off with this design. I installed it myself on a Hyundai Ioniq 5 and it took a couple of hours start to finish
2023 Ioniq 5 - Took me 4 hours to install by myself.
No need to be lifted. Installation was simple if you know which piece go to driver side or passenger side.
