I purchased this rack to go with my MiniDoMore Trailer Receiver Hitch...so far, so good! The rack is sturdy, fairly easy to install (once you get past the eccentricities that are built into MINIs) and holds my bike securely. I've only used it with one bike, but from what I can tell, it should remain solid with two bikes loaded. I can't rate it five stars yet but if it holds true to form, it will be!

Still Working Well! Very solid product that protects the bike well, even under rugged road conditions. I would buy this again...five stars!

I am replacing a larger Thule with this rack. Trusting Thule based on my prior experience I didn’t look very hard at other options. This is good, but could be better and if I were buying again I would look at those other options. The folding features are nice but the folding mechanisms permit quite a bit of movement which adds unnecessary rattles and bike movement. Lock pins to stop this movement would be a good improvement. I would also look at non folding racks which could reduce weight, cost and complexity. This rack also projects a long way out from the bumper cover on a 2020 Honda Civic. If the hitch had another anti-sway bolt hole about 4 inches towards the rack you would have the option of reducing the stand off from the car and move the weight forward which would be a positive impression on this car. I expect the stand off is needed for some other vehicles which is why I would like to see an additional bolt hole.

Love it! Super easy to put together and install. Great customer service through decision making process as well. Only “surprise” we had was our car “radar” is enabled (beeps) when in reverse with hitch and bikes on as it senses object behind us. No big deal but wanted to make others aware. Bottom line. - love the rack, it’s sturdy and tight. I see many road trips ahead this fall!

Our bike rack was ordered on 5/2/17. I received it on 5/5/17. Tracking was provided by etrailer.com and was very easy to use. Etrailer.com was so friendly and helpful throughout, I'm certain we will order from them again. The bike rack attached to our receiver in minutes. The rest of the assembly was completed in less than 10 minutes. The product was shipped via UPS, and as always, the package looked like it was used for target practice, but that is common for UPS. Fortunately there was no damage to the product. Thank you etrailer for a great experience. We will order from you again.

Thank you for the follow up. The bike rack is still working fine. We bike often and the rack handles our two bikes without issue. It’s amazing that after a year, you are still interested in how we are doing with our bike rack. Keep your business model just the way it is. We will purchase from etrailer again. Thank you

This bike rack is a little heavy, but easily put together, especially if you use a 3/4" rachet instead of tool supplied. Wish the stem going into the 2" hitch on my car was closer to the car for more stability. Delivery came quickly, and have already used it!

Works fine. It's more effort to attach to the hitch than I thought it would be -- nothing big, but enough that I won't be carrying the rack in the trunk as I thought I might. And while the mounts for the two bikes don't look like they're too close to each other, our two bikes still get in each other's way. If I could have a do-over, I'd get a platform rack.

Needed a rack to transport my full suspension bike for my 2016 Toyota prius, after alot of research and reviews I went with the thule roadway, man is this is solid bike rack!! Installation took 15 mins from start to finish, I Aslo got the thule hitch lock to protect my investment, I couldn't be happier with my over all experience

Easy to install and use. Only complaint is I wish it came with a pin for easy on and off, rather than having to use the Thule tool (which was too much of a pain), or a ratchet every time you want to take the rack off.

I just assembled it and put it on my Frontier. It seems quite sturdy and well constructed. The true test will be on the highway with two bikes on it. I did drive locally and no wobble at all.

Perfect for my needs. Thule Roadway 2 person bike rack for a 2 seater car. Everything included for a solo install in minutes. Heavier than I thought, but at least I know it's solid. Rack is set far enough away so that my 29 inch wheels do not come close to my car, if not using included strap. Holds bike securely. Folds up for easy storage. Went with a hanging rack so I can attach a snowboard rack as well. Very satisfied.

So we purchased the Thule "Roadway 2" bike rack with a two bike capacity and a 1.25" trailer hitch for our 2015 MAZDA 6 sedan. Essentially, we couldn't be more pleased with the purchase or this vendor as... - trailer hitch and bike rack arrived on time; - hitch installation (4 bolts) took less than one hour; - bike rack assembly (2 bolts) took 1/2 hour; - mounted on car looks fantastic!!! (See photos) - would order again in a minute from this vendor if I ever needed anything else.. Excellent Quality and Service!!

by:

The reviews for the bike carrier I selected were extremely helpful in making my final choice. I had to get a trailer hitch installed by Uhaul, but once that was done - I attached the bike carrier myself. It was so simple! I also love the height of the carrier. (It’s just under my shoulder height.) There’s a bit of a rattle when there isn’t a bike mounted on the carrier, but it’s not too bad on short drives. As a side note, I did order a locking hitch pin later. The ease with which I installed it made me realize how easily it could be stolen.

- TH912XTR

The bike rack was well built. It was easy to assemble. This will allow me to carry my bike on the rack instead of having to put it in my truck bed. Really like the fact that it folds down providing more room in the garage. It fit great in the Curt hitch receiver I had purchased earlier.

This bike rack has been working well! It's pretty easy to attach and detach when not needed. It folds down to still be able to open a hatchback. It helps to also get the adjustable bar for attaching women's frames. This bike rack fits my husband's HRV. It's easy to store this in the winter since it's a pretty small frame. It's a little work to get bikes attached, but I think it would be the same with any other rack.

I am thrilled with the Thule 2 Bike Rack I purchased from etrailer.com The etrailer.com website is user friendly and customer support is excellent. The Thule product is well made and easy for a 70-something grand-mother to mount and load bikes. It has opened up new adventures for me and the grand-children. I highly recommend etrailer.com.

- TH912XTR
by:

This is an excellent well made product. However it was advertised by etrailer as being suitable for my Hummer H3, but the the H3 spare tyre prevents the fold-down lever from being operated. I will have to investigate whether a hitch extender would make this work, but at added expense.

First time ordering a trailer hitch bike rack and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. The rack was delivered sooner than promised and building and installing the rack was a breeze. Product is sturdy and well made and I look forward to using it for many years.

  • Thule Bike Rack That Can be Used at Rear of 5th Wheel Trailer
At the rear of a trailer or RV the ride quality is very rough when compared to the ride quality at the rear of a passenger vehicle. Reason being the suspension isn't as sophisticated and there is a longer distance between the rear axle and the rear of the trailer which exaggerates the movement of the trailer when hitting bumps. Because of that only a few bike racks were designed to be reinforced enough for that type of use. The part # TH912XTR is not reinforced enough to be used at...

The Thule Roadway 2 Bike Rack # TH912XTR weighs in just over 30 lbs.
