Heavy bed loads, campers, or trailers can drop the rear of your truck and throw off balance and handling. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System – Severe Service uses 8,000-lb capacity hollow rubber springs that sit above the rear axle to fight sag and keep your ride level. As weight increases, the springs get more rigid to stabilize steering, braking, and traction so your truck stays steady and controlled under load.

When pavement turns rough or a trailer starts to bounce, these Aeon hollow rubber springs act like extra shock absorbers. They absorb most of the road shock before it hits your frame and help prevent bottoming out. That means less wear on your factory suspension and a smoother, more comfortable ride when towing or hauling heavy gear.

Load shifts, cornering, or crosswinds can make any truck feel loose. Each Timbren spring works independently on its side of the axle to resist body roll and sway. This independent action also compensates for off-center loads so the truck stays planted through curves or when a gust hits your trailer.

The system bolts onto each frame rail using custom-fit brackets and replaces the factory bump stops—no drilling or airline routing required. With a one-inch gap between spring and axle under light loads, the stock suspension works normally until weight is added. It’s a simple install that delivers maintenance-free load support every time you hitch up or haul heavy.

Ratings & Reviews
Work great. Offer stability, especially in corners. Do not provide for a level truck as the weight of the camper still compresses the springs up to where the Timbrens engage, but I knew that going in. Alternative to full-on air leveling systems.
Got excellent coaching on the proper part for my 2020 GMC 2500 HD. The new horse trailer did not exceed the the weight limits, but squatted the back end more than I wanted. These new bump stops worked perfectly. Install was easy, and the truck rides like normal without load and rides better with load, so its a win win. Thanks for the quick shipping, follow up, and always having great reviews to read when selecting parts to purchase. THANK YOU ALL at "etrailer"...
etrailer never disappoints. Installation was easy, did not have to raise truck axle per directions. A small amount of bearing grease worked better than the recommended soapy water. Cannot comment on effectiveness yet as I am still awaiting delivery of our new truck camper...more to follow.
Towing a 3 horse living quarters gooseneck trailer with a Silverado 3500HD 4WD diesel with a standard suspension . The Timbrens reduced sag by a couple of inches and improved the ride and handling significantly, especially over rough roads. Installation was simple and took less than an hour. Very happy with this upgrade.
Easy installation 2019 Silverado Hight Country 3500 4x4 single axel, if you can lift the rear of your truck as we do. The only thing is when the truck is under no load and we drive it the rear suspension will bottom out and kit the suspension enhancement system when we hit a pump on the road. Its sudden and it can be felt by the crew in the truck. Under load they work great.
They popped right in with dish soap and a 3’ 2x4 lever! All done in 10 minutes.
So easy to install. Will let you know about the right when we hook up our 5th wheel and tow.
I just installed them. I haven’t really had a chance to drive my truck, but I can see that they’re already resting on the bump stops, but I have much more a curve in my spring. It wasn’t totally flat, but I’m sure happy so far the way that it sits
Added these bump stops to my GMC Denali 3500 to help improve towing my fifth wheel. They do a great job of preventing the bed from sagging under heavy load. The truck is perfectly level with 3000+ pin weight on the hitch. The truck is extremely stable when the load is sitting on these rather than just on the springs. They do limit travel of the rear suspension (which is exactly what they're designed to do) when not under load. So with no load on, some big dips or bumps that would normally be absorbed by the suspension travel cause the suspension to hit the bump stops instead. It's well worth the tradeoff though for the added payload capacity.
Great alternative to air bags, stabilizes side to side roll and prevents the rear end from sagging under load when my camper is loaded. Unloaded the truck feels and drives the same
Perfect, Thank you.
I have them on the truck, however, I do not have my side-in truck camper yet so I'm not sure how they will perform. The installation was super easy!
Installed easily. Only pulled my 42 ft 5th wheel a short distance but seems to help mitigate the proposing on choppy highway driving..
FOUND WJHAT I NEEDED FAST AND GOT THEM FAST
Great product! Much more convenient than air bags.
Waiting to see how they do with my 5th wheel rv. Easiest install I've ever done.
Extremely "easy" to install. Took me almost longer to get my jack, some boards together and soap than it did to install this product. Shipment came quicker than I paid for it to come. Wow! Very pleased with Samantha's customer service!
Great option over air bags
Very easy install. Didn’t want airbags. This is perfect for towing my 4 horse gooseneck trailer.
After a year of ownership and towing my toy hauler many times, I’m happy I went with Timbrens as opposed to air bags. Easy install, maintenance free, and they really do help keep things level.
I’ve had Timbrens in the front of my last two trucks for plowing and I have been more than pleased. The truck rides just as well. I decided to get a set for the rear of my 2020 Silverado 2500HD to help with my gooseneck equipment trailer and truck camper. Installation was a breeze, maybe 10 minutes for both sides. I highly recommend them, and I highly recommend etrailer.
They work well when you are pulling a heavy load but when you are driving the pickup empty they ride really rough. I removed them after about 3 months of use and went with air bags instead.
The product is exactly as described and the installation was extremely easy!!! Pic shows the OEM (orange) versus the Timbrens (black).

I feel like the two are so hard to compare to one another! A definite upgrade for sure it looks like, Dave :)
Do not keep vehicle level. 800 Lb. tongue weight trail still lowers rear of truck approximately 4 inches. 3500 GMC Dually 4x4
My advice is don't be lazy just go with air bags.
They say satisfaction guaranteed defiantly not satisfied and will be less than happy if they charge me a restocking fee on a bad product. I should have known better.
Love my Timbrens. Had airbags and was tired of leaks and the need to adjust air pressure. Easy to install!

Two years on and I’m still convinced that Timbrens were the right choice. Over the past year I’ve towed my 18k 5th wheel toy hauler all over the west coast. Up and down countless mountain passes and over plenty of flat land. They’re consistent and keep my truck level. A 100 worthwhile investment in my towing setup.
