This worked ok for me on my trailer light install, but after a year the black screws that came with the kit are rusting badly. I didn't use the silver screws that came with the kit, needed longer ones, so can't say how they would hold-up......

Comments
RUST on screws is still an issue on screws. I painted them a few times with black spray Rust-Oleum....

The mounting bracket for my trailer connector was easy to attach and worked very well with my trailer connector.

Comments
Still working great.

This was a replacement for a bracket that I was told would fit the 7-pin Connector I purchased but it didn't. I would have given it 5 stars, but it shipped with only 4 mounting screws when 6 are required for a bracket-ready trailer hitch (two for mounting to the tab on the hitch). Not sure what the two sheet metal screws were to be used for?? The saving grace is etrailers did not require the return of the non-fitting bracket (which did ship with 6 machine screws and nuts) so I could "steal" 2 screws from that bracket.

by:

The mounting bracket worked great. Thank you!!!

by:

Just a bracket not much to say it fit and worked like it should could use 2 beefer self tapping screws tho

by:

The mounting bracket provided a much better and more sucure way to mount the 7-pole trailer connector to vehicle than fastening it to the plastic bumper cover.

by:

It was suggested I purchase this bracket to assist in mounting my 7-way trailer harness (item #118253) to my 2010 Honda pilot. When I tried to attach the bracket underneath and behind the bumper, I discovered it was too tall and very difficult to fit where it was required. I also found that the bracket is a 90-degree bend and will not go flush against the bumper wall. The bumper wall runs at an angle and you would need a bracket with an approx 35-degree angle to fit flush against the bumper, that's important if you want a professional clean looking mounting of the trailer harness (7- way insert) like I installed (see attached pics). So forget this bracket, Just save your money and mount onto the bumper wall, plenty thickness and you get a clean look...Maybe one day they will make the proper bracket for such an installation...

My F150 had an OEM 4 pin trailer plug and hitch.
The 118242 - 7 pin connector with wiring harness is the ticket. The hardest part of the install was dropping the spare tire. The plugs connect directly to the factory plugs and the harness length is the correct length.
The 3035-P brake controller connector harness was just as easy. Plugs right in to the OEM plug next to the ECM connector and the other end into the brake controller.
The PK12711U-26 - 7 pin bracket and hardware kit fastens directly the OEM bracket that is on the hitch. My truck had an OEM 4 pin trailer towing set up with the hitch. The OEM hitch had the bracket welded on it to attach the 7 pin mounting bracket to it.
These kits make this install very easy and professional looking.
If I have one complaint, the hardware kit to attach the 7 pin connector bracket is set up to fasten the bracket directly to the bumper with 2 - self tapping screws provided in the kit. The kit also includes 4 #12 machine screws with toothed washer nuts to attached the 7 pin connector to the bracket. This is fine if your truck hitch doesn't have an attaching bracket welded to it. The kit should included in it 6 #12 machine screws and nuts along with the 2 self tapping screws. Since my OEM hitch actually had a bracket welded to it to attach the 7 pin bracket to it, I had to use two other #12 screws and nuts to attach the 7 pin bracket to the OEM bracket on the hitch. Not a big deal, just a thought.
It took me about 2 hours, start to finish to install the 7 pin connector, trailer controller, and add the two relays in the OEM relay/fuse box under the hood.
I highly recommend these kits.

by:

The tow package I purchased last year, fits great and installed perfectly. It works perfectly with my electronic under-dash brake controller.

The kit came with everything that I needed and instructions were easy to read I had the entire kit installed in about 40 minutes it's work Flawless for me for over a year and I tow a variety of trailers the plug is never failed due to workmanship it is still water tight.

The receiver cap spring still has excellent tension to help hold the plug into place, the only gripe I have is that I should have installed stainless mounting screwswhen I installed the kit because the mounting starting are starting to rust a little, but that's my oversight and is nothing to do with the kit and its ability to provide flawless service.

I highly recommend this product if you're like me and was looking for an oem Plug and Play setup!

5 stars!

Turned out my factory bracket did fit the wiring harness and the bracket worked out great, it fit perfectly where it was installed.

by:

Bought for a 2018 Nissan Frontier. Fit the wire plug perfectly and the Screws and nuts to secure the plug to the bracket were fine. The two screws to attach the bracket to the vehicle were way too small to use. They wouldn't work on the mounting tab on the Draw-Tite hitch or the factory holes under the bumper. I suppose if your creating new holes they would be okay. Appears to be a quality piece and I'm very satisfied with it.

by:

Simple and easy to install using the self taping screws provided

by:

Nice mount. I did not find all the mounting bolts in the packaging. There were two bolts and two small self tapping screws. the price seemed appropriate.

by:

I believe that Etrailer is a good company, the problem is shipping and handling issues. They have great costumer service and excellent service, I wish to thank them for their assistance in insuring my delivery.

by:

Although this bracket comes with tapping screws to mount to a metal undersurface structure, it only has 4 screws for the 7 point hitch device to screw into it and no additional screws to mount to the hitch itself. It should come with 6 locking screws for that purpose. I had to use 2 to mount it to the hitch and 2 to mount the 7 point hitch device into the bracket, leaving 2 spots open. I went to my local hardware store and autozone and couldn’t find these exact screws and etrailer doesn’t sell them as a separate order.

by:

Went on fairly simple. How do use longer tech screws to mount it to the frame.

by:

Seems sturdy enough and well painted. I liked that it came with scews, although I decided to use bolts/nuts to mount it to my bumper.

Comments
The four screws that face backward on the vehicle the ones that came with it have completely rusted over and look ugly.
Keith - 07/16/2020

by:

Worked good. I painted it with additional coats of paint to prevent it from rusting.

Comments
No issues with this.

0 instructions and inadequate mounting hardware. The two speed screws I assume are meant to mount the bracket to the tow bar are worthless. Good thing I had some useable hardware lying about. Unfortunately I don’t have any sort of lock washer that would work so I attempted to use one of the speed screws as a backup/safety but it literally disintegrated as soon as it went through the bracket material and hit the tow bar. Really flimsy as well, not too Impressed with this bracket at all, but it’ll do until I can replace it. I was under a time crunch to get this installed but if you have time, look for something better I’d say.

by:

perfect fit with the draw tite hutch on my 2022 frontier. using curt t-connector 7 way harness kit.

by:

Product went together as described and when attached to the short no drill mount bracket provided a sturdy mount for the 7way plug.

by:

Both the self taping screws snapped so I don't recommend using them. Mount was good and did the job.
