Question:

First, thank you Jon for answering my hitch question. I have one regarding a tranny cooler: Bigger is usually better when trying to cool something. The chart shows for a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder, that a D13503 class III is a custom fit, but the 13504 class IV is not. Im wondering if I can install the 13504 on my 2017 Pathfinder? The AC condenser measures 28X18. Is there some incompatablilty issue I am not aware of? Thanks again,

If you were to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13309 on your 2017 Nissan Pathfinder then you would need to mount the Curt T-Connector # C56357 directly to your rear bumper fascia using the mounting bracket # PK12711U. To avoid this you can use the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58000 instead.

Since the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76031 does sit below the rear bumper fascia you would be able to use the no-drill mounting bracket # C57202 along with the part # PK12711U.

The Curt T-Connector # C56357 installs in the same was as the Tekonsha T-One # 118273. If you check out the installation video of this wiring installed on a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder you can see that it is a plug and play option but you will need to remove some of the panels inside to install the relays.

You are welcome! That is an excellent question. Essentially any transmission cooler will fit any vehicle provided that there is enough room. The reason that our fit guide says that the Derale Series 8000 # D13504 "won't fit" your 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is because we organize the transmission coolers in our figuide based on the size of the vehicle and what class they are typically put in. Your Pathfinder falls in the Class III area which is why the Derale Series 8000 # D13503 is a "fit" instead. The Class IV version, part # D13504, measures 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep so if you have room in your Pathfinder then you can definitely use it. I have attached a video with the dimensions for the Class IV cooler as well as a few helpful articles you can use to help determine where you can install it. We had the opportunity to install this on a 2005 Pathfinder so I have attached that video for you to reference as well.
