Today we're going to review part number LG-145236. This is the Stromberg Carlson Replacement Switch for the Stromberg Carlson electric landing gear. This part will replace the IP-rated switch for your tandem landing gear. It is designed for use with the Stromberg Carlson LG-1 landing gear, and we do sell that product separately on our website. The switch is a toggle switch as you can see. When you push it, you can extend, and push it to retract.
It does come with about a 4' length of wire and it comes with the wires to connect to the motor, and then the wires to connect to the power source. This will also work with most other brands of electric landing gear including Atwood and Lippert. Comes with everything shown here, the switch with the harness, the instructions and set of screws for mounting it. The switch, give you a measurement. On the mounting bracket itself is 2 1/4" wide by about 3 1/4" tall. That should do it for the review on part number LG-145236.

These parts were used to upgrade a 5th wheel camper with manual crank for the landing legs. The motor fit perfectly my Atwood landing legs gear drive, and the switch was an easy install, with good directions on wiring install.
They are working like a champ. Thak goodness, there will be no more manual cranking of the landing legs for me… ;)
Bought these to run dual landing gear motors. Switch was pre wired for reverse polarity motors, making install easy. Fast shipping and well made.

Switch is exactly what I needed. I bought my fifth wheel camper used and the original owner must have added the power feature to the landing gear. He used a regular DPDT toggle switch and cobbled up a mount. Switch was not rated high enough for the max DC amps that the landing gear motor was rated for. I decided that I needed to install a proper landing gear switch kit and etrailer's experts answered my product question promptly as this was the only switch that was listed as weatherproof. I needed to install in existing switch location and did not have a switch compartment. Switch seems quality and is proper rated to handle the landing gear motor. Wires are heavy gauge also which I like. It seems that my landing gear travels faster than it did with the old switch and lighter gauge wiring.
Service was very quick and it was shipped in a few hours after I ordered it. Part was spot on!!

Product is still working well with no issues.
etrailer got my order late on a Friday, mailed it on Saturday and sent me tracking info. Great service. My landing gear was not a Stromberg Carlson, so I had to drill a couple of hole, shorten some really long wires, and reverse the wires to the motor, but it all worked fine and solved my problem. Very grateful for having it behind me in such a short time.

This switch is very well made and is superior to the OEM jack switch I replaced on my fifth wheel.

Product was top-shelf quality and a huge improvement over the OEM switch my Geneisis Supreme came with. E-Trailer was terrific to deal with and order shipped promptly. If you need a replacement Landing Jack switch, this product will satisfy!!!
I replaced a lesser quality switch with this one and could not believe the difference it made. It's as though the previous switch was not letting full electrical current through to the motor. Now the motor is quieter and appears to work easier.
Gear box worked great. It was the legs that was the problem. Replaced the legs with the bulldog individual leveling and everything is working great.
So far so good. Fifth wheel jack switch is working well.
Switch works well. However, no wiring instructions were included. I wired red-red, and black-to-black. This caused jacks to go up when pressing down. A quick wiring switch made everything work correctly. Flawless ever since.
This hard wire harness worked perfect for the application and I was able to connect it in about 5 minutes

Out of the box the item looks like a direct replacement for the bad switch. It was nice to see a wiring diagram included with the package.
Haven't installed it yet... but appears to exactly match previous switch that I installed... now both jacks will be independently controlled. Fast service too!
