Today, we're gonna take a look at the replacement gear box and linkage for the Lippert components 2006 to current Kwikee electric steps. Now, this will replace the gear box and the curved A-linkage for Lippert components Kwikee electric steps, and you can tell if you have the A-linkage on your steps because there will be an A that's embossed on the linkage arm. This part here is designed to fit the 2006 to current Kwikee 22, 23, 27, 28A, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, and 40 series steps. So it does fit a wide range of the Kwikee steps. Does come with the two washers to help you install it, but that should do it for the review on the replacement gearbox and A-linkage for the Lippert components 2006 to current Kwikee electric steps.
Worked perfect and was easy to swap out. If your motor dies go ahead and get the gear box as well. Makes the swap out that much easier!

Easy to change out
Bought gearbox and motor together after some modification (the bolts were too narrow for gear box, had too reuse the old bolts and widen the bolt holes) the gearbox and motor work great. Much faster than old assembly and quiet.

This is the exact replacement for my Itasca Nation 24J step. The old unit failed at the attachment to the step not in the gears so it was a very easy replacement! Remove the old unit, switch out the motor from the old unit to the new unit (might buy a spare motor for future step issues), lined up the swing arm, put the pin in and my step is now fixed. I would say a few directions in the box would be helpful but I'm the kind who takes a picture before removing the part so I can be sure I'm putting it back in correctly. One suggestion to installers, don't tighten the four nuts until everything is linked up and make the motor move into the extended position to link everything up at first. Take your time this is a very simple repair, well worth the time in the driveway instead of taking to an RV repair location.

Totally disappointed that the phone representative advised me to replace the gearbox when the step motor was the problem. I clearly described the problem but his suggestion was wrong. I installed the gearbox as preventative maintenance and then bought a replacement step motor from another online vendor when etrailer only offered me a 5% discount on a replacement motor. I will never use etrailer for technical advice.

The gearbox and motor that you advertised as compatible weren't. The bolts supplied with the motor to bolt to the gearbox were 3/16 in. while the gearbox required 10 mm bolts. I had to do some machine work on the motor to allow the 10 mm bolts to fit. After the installation, the steps worked.

Hey Chuck, can you tell me what series step you have?
The shipment included a gear box for the electric step on our RV, which solved my problem and has performed without problems.
All of my transactions with etrailer have been outstanding. Your product videos and supplementary information are great. Not many companies follow up like you do.

The product worked perfect. I had a set of kwikee steep on my class a campers they would not retract all the way and you could hear it skipping a broken tooth on the gear in the gear box that operated the stairs which is was driven by a motor. I had called a couple suppliers for a new gear box and they both told me I needed to order the a complete kit for that series stairs that means changing the door sensor the motor rewiring etc well 300 bucks and a lot more labor. Called Megham at e-trailer who was great she did some research found me a gearbox that would work about 2 hours of my time. E-trailer never fails to deliver for me and Meghsn is great and knows what she is doing. After listening to the other 2 places I wasn't sure e-trailers solutions was going to work how could something work save me over 200 bucks and 2 hours of my time but Meghan and e-trailer came though.. now I,m thinking why did I even call the other places. Thanks etrailer.
The replacement part worked but it took some alterations. The person on the phone did warn us. I appreciated that she went the route of least $$$. Our back up plan was to have to order a few other newer replacements if this didn’t work. Nice of her to help with our find. Your company will be my first place in looking for future parts.

This replacement part worked so well I have forgotten about the experience. Thank you the receptionist gave us great advice and we have been trouble free.
I have a series 32 step from a 1999 coach. I thought I could use my old motor assembly on the gear/ linkage but it was not compatible with my motor. So, I returned it and ended up purchasing the complete conversion/ upgrade kit, Item # LC379145.
Probably did not need to replace the one on the coach but when doing the controller board and motor I said why not. In hindsight it was a good choice as the one on the coach had some teeth missing upon further inspection.
Installed the step gear and have had no issues with the step not working for over a year now.the part was exactly the same as the old 1

Yes have had no issues with step going in or out after gear replacement
Part won’t fit my 1999 Winnebago. E trailer does not carry anything to fit my RV. My step is a series 32 but, they’re different types of this series. They said mine is too old to carry parts for.
