One heavy chunk of metal. Might have packaged it a little better but came in good shape. The Zirk fittings could have been damaged but were not.

by:

You made the road smoother and easier on rough roads

by:

We broke this part when turning and hitting a washout that we didn't see in the dark on a right hand turn. Everything else checked out, so we ordered, has been fine ever since.

by:

I would say a must have for triple axle setups if you have a center axle with shackles on both sides that's just not right.

by:

This is a very pleasant surprise brought on by some very high quality, well-engineered, American made, and high-tech upgrade solution to a problem serious travel trailer users across the country experience often. I believe this combined with my axle upgrade will take this problem off the table for years to come. The manufacturers should make these a standard.

by:

Excellent service from Alex helping me order, got them installed on my 7x12 tandem axel mobile grooming trailer.. I already purchased upgraded shackles extra thick, just had everything installed, looks great and the ride is smoother !

by:

These are are direct replacement for the stock equalizers on my Dexter D44 4400lbs axles. They were very easy to install and have done a great job smoothing out the ride of the trailer. They are a lot heavier duty than the stock equalizer. So far I have been very impressed. If they last for a number of years I will be very happy

After a year these are still working great. They have done a lot to smooth out the trailers ride on the terrible roads.

An excellent product from Dexter and etrailer. This definitely smooths out the ride of your trailer and benefits you, your tow vehicle, and your cargo. Online ordering was easy and shipping was fast. Thanks etrailer!

Anna was lots of help. I ordered wrong size. She immediately sent a RTA, and sent to correct size. Really couldn't have gone better.

Exact replacement parts for Heartland Bighorn trailer and at the lowest price around. Thanks once again, Repeat customer.

by:

I ordered the K71-655-00 which is for a trailer with 35” axle spread after a local trailer repair business up sold me the EZ Flex system, but put on parts for a 33” axle spread. Right at two years it started to rip the leaf spring mounts in half from the frame. After much research, I discovered their error and so far with the correct piece in place everything is happy again.

Correct part in place and upgraded hangers all is well.

I installed the EZ-Flex equalization system on my 2021 Keystone 5th wheel this past weekend, i replaced the RoadArmor system which had all bushings worn out in less than 2 years. The EZ-Flex is built so much more sturdier than the road armor and it has grease zerks built in for easy lubrication for longer lasting system. Very happy with the service i received!

by:

Great product easy to install.I have the rubber suspension for the 8000lb axel. Just make sure the spring bolts grease holes are facing the front are rear of the T. T. Before you seat the bolts put grease from the grease gun to make sure the grease will ease flow into the spring bushing and out side of the spring. Have not tried it yet.

Haven't installed them yet, but E-trailer/Carol C. was extremely helpful in finding the correct size and capacity equalizer for my trailer. I will continue to use e-trailer going forward thanks to their excellent knowledge and friendly customer service.

by:

Works good on my utility trailer. Can't tell much difference empty, but loaded (+/-5000#) provides better ride and easier on hauled equipment. Super easy installation

by:

works great

by:

Super fast shipping and great prices and quality parts

by:

Haven't installed yet on my Keystone Raptor toy hauler but quality out of the box looks amazing. I installed the lighter version of these on my bass boat and it made a huge difference.

  • Replacement Equalizer and Leaf Springs for a 2020 Grand Design Imagine 21BHE
Hey Tyler, thanks for reaching out! Grand Design actually does have some help in that department, since they have a whole "replacement parts" section on their website. To upgrade the equalizers on your 2020 Grand Design Imagine 21BHE you need the E-Z Flex Equalizers # K71-655-00, but when it comes to your leaf springs, I'll need you to lift the frame off the ground (so there isn't pressure on the spring) and then measure from center eye to center eye. Once you have that measurement...

  • Is 1/4 Inch Height Difference Okay For Use With E-Z Flex Equalizers
Hi Sam, Good question, and the mere 1/4 inch difference in the height is not going to have any type of negative effect on your trailer so you can 100 percent use the E-Z Flex Equalizers # K71-655-00. These are a smart choice as they'll make a nice difference in how your trailer rides due to its rubber cores absorbing bounce and shock.

  • Looking For Replacement Equalizers And Shackles For Old Tandem Axle Horse Trailer
Hello Darrell, thanks for reaching out. The EQ-E1 equalizer is 7-3/4" long and 2-7/8" tall, and the Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizer # K71-655-00 is virtually identical in size so this will be a great option for an upgraded equalizer. As far as the shackle kit, I recommend the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kits since they come with HD shackles, bronze bushings and wet bolts. I will need to know the length of your current shackles measured center hole to center hole. The MORryde kits come with either...

  • Determining If Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizers LC696740 Fit 2021 Forest River Sabre 5th Wheel
I would be happy to help you determine if the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizers # LC696740 you were looking at will fit your 2021 Forest River Sabre 36BHQ, but this is not information that we have on hand so you will need to measure your current equalizers. The # LC696740 measure 6" center to center of the horizontal mounting holes so as long as that matches your current equalizers this would be a great upgrade option for you. These equalizers are designed for 3500-8000lb axles so...

  • Will Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizers Work With 3-1/4" Long Shackle Straps
Hi Brandon; the Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizers # K71-655-00 will work with your 3-1/4" shackle straps. It is also the perfect size for your trailer since it has the same 7-3/4" measurement. The kit only comes with the equalizers so there are no shackles straps with it that wouldn't match. If you're wanting to upgrade to heavy duty shackles and wet bolts you can use the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR76ZR. This has 3-1/8" long shackle straps which is probably what...

  • Recommended Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizer for 2004 NUWA Hitchhiker II LS to Widen Axle Hanger Spacing
I recommend using the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System by Dexter Axle - 5-5/8" Equalizers # K71-652-00 which is compatible with axle spacing of 33 inches on center. It is okay to move your outside hangers to give you more space but there are standard spaces that work well for tandem axle trailers that you will want to stick to. If you want 35 inch axle spacing, then you will move the hangers and use kit # K71-653-00 which has wider equalizers to make up for the larger spacing....

  • Choosing Upgraded Equalizer for 2023 Lama Car Hauler Trailer
Hi Rob (great name); the best choice for an upgraded equalizer is the one that matches the size of your current equalizer. There are a number of different designs but you really won't notice a difference in performance from one to another on your trailer. With that 7-3/4" measurement I recommend the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00. I have the E-Z Flex on my Jayco and they do a great job. This is an exact match for your current equalizer so it won't throw off the suspension...

  • Can I Replace Just the Rubber Piece on a E-Z Flex Equalizer?
Hey Jerry thanks for the picture! I am sorry but you can not just get that replacement rubber spring. You'll need to replace the entire equalizer with the item # K71-655-00. This is identical in size to your current 13-143 equalizer so it will be an exact replacement. I'm guessing your rides gotten awful uncomfortable recently. • Which Dexter EZ Flex Kit Fits 2017 Grand Design Solitude 384GK
Hey Ken, based on the axle capacities we know your 2017 Grand Design Solitude 384GK has the Dexter EZ Flex part # K71-655-00 that you referenced should be the correct fit but you would want to verify this by measuring what you have now. If the distance between the left and right bolt hole is 7-3/4 inches this is correct fit. This is a very common size so I would be surprised if you needed something different. You can also just measure the distance between your axle centers as well. If it's...

  • Upgraded Equalizer Option For 2024 Winnebago 2529RG
Hello Tim, thanks for reaching out. We do have a few upgraded equalizer options that may work for you. It is critical that the replacement equalizer is identical in size to the original, and unfortunately there is no way for me to look up what kind of equalizer is on your camper. Hello James, So it sounds like your 2020 Prime Time Tracer is running those cast Dexter equalizers stamped HT 21A21, those are pretty standard and measure about 5-3/4" across, center to center on the bottom holes. The good news is the Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizer Kit # K71-654-00 is a great upgrade and an excellent match for your setup. • Choosing the Right Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension for Replacing Standard Equalizers
You shouldn't loose any wheel clearance with the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit. First you will want to see which of the Equalizers you need. If you choose either the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension 6,000lb Kit # K71-652-00 or 8,000lb Kit # K71-653-00 they will include 2-1/4" shackle straps. If your current shackle...

  • Can 5-3/4 Inch or Similar Size Equalizer Replace 7-3/4 Inch Equalizer
It's not uncommon for a trailer with a 29-1/2 inch axle spacing to use either 7-3/4 inch or 5-3/4 inch (or similar) equalizers but the shorter ones are more commonly used with the 25-1/4 inch leaf springs, like the ones you have, designed for up to 6,000 axles. So, the Lippert # LC279687 could potentially work for you. Keep in mind that the previous trailer owner could have been using shorter shackle straps to make up for the longer equalizers. We do offer a few of the 7-3/4" long equalizers with 3 9/16" holes. Unfortunately, the standard equalizers in this size like the # TREQE1 are not greaseable. There is the Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizer # K71-655-00 which is a 7-3/4" long cushioned equalizer. The lengths of the shackles that come with the equalizer kit part # K71-449-00 that you referenced are 2-7/8 inches measured from hole center to hole center. If yours are currently 3-1/8 inches this change would slightly lower the height of the trailer but it would still work. To match the shackle lengths and also be the thicker style you'd need the kit # MR76ZR with the # K71-655-00 which is cushioned. Or for just a standard equalizer and shackle kit you'd want the # e99ZR.
