Question:
I have a 2023 Lamar 7x20foot Car Hauler Trailer with 2x 5.2k lb. Dexter EZ-Lube axles.. the axel spacing is about 33 1/2 inches and I am looking to replace my cast equalizer but not sure which MOryde Equalizer Kit MR87ZR Or MR27ZR would work. The axel spacing fits the MR87ZR but the cast equalizer is closer tot he MR27ZR. Unless another equalizer like some from Lippert works be better ie Equa-Flex. thanks

Hi Rob (great name); the best choice for an upgraded equalizer is the one that matches the size of your current equalizer. There are a number of different designs but you really won't notice a difference in performance from one to another on your trailer. With that 7-3/4" measurement I recommend the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00.
I have the E-Z Flex on my Jayco and they do a great job. This is an exact match for your current equalizer so it won't throw off the suspension geometry and cause problems. It also comes with heavy duty shackle straps and wet bolts which are one of the best upgrades you can make. The shackle strap length on these is 2-1/4" center hole to center hole. If you would rather stick with just the equalizers we have the # K71-655-00.

Hey Rob, how did the Dexter E-Z Flex suspension kit work out on your Lamar car hauler? Your results could really help others comparing it to the MORryde and Lippert options. Sharing what you noticed after the swap would be great for anyone upgrading their equalizers.
