Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the Trigger Latch Repair Kit for etrailer and Ram A-Frame Couplers. This repair kit will let you fix your etrailer or Ram 5,000 pound A-frame coupler with the trigger latch. This will contain everything you need to repair the coupler. That does not include the coupler housing. Again, this trigger latch repair kit is designed to fit the etrailer or Ram 5,000 pound A-frame couplers with the trigger latch for a two inch ball, and we do sell those separately. I have part numbers on those.
They're CA-5100-B, CA-5100-BLB, and CA-5100-Z. This repair kit will work on all three of those part numbers. But that should do it for the review on the Trigger Latch Repair Kit for etrailer and Ram A-Frame Couplers.
Solved the problem of coupler looseness. Seems sturdy. The latch mechanism that was on the trailer was the wrong part for the coupler. (Straight channel coupler repair kit is different than A-Frame!) I was able to determine this from the photos on the trailer website.
This seems to be a good quality replacement product for my Ram hitch. My problem is that, for me, the installation is not as easy as some reviews and videos state. My work is with my hands, I'm getting older and maybe I'm losing a little of my skills, but it's more difficult doing the install on an in-place hitch instead of the demo on a work bench. You are upside down with gravity working against you to keep the parts in place. It's not easy to do that and also keep the top part from moving due to the spring pushing back. It was "easy" when I asked for help to apply down pressure while I kept the pieces from falling off and starting the nut threads. But finally got another hand and it's done!
Part delivered as promised and all is good. Happy we can now pull the trailer again!

I was at my white end trying to find a replacement for my Ram series III 2" A frame trailer coupler. I went back to where I purchased my trailer, and all they had was a replacement lever kit that "fit's most couplers". It did not work. I contacted the trailer manufacturer, and they were unsure as they use a few different ones. They did however, put me in touch with the supplier which in turn put me in touch with a salesman named Mike who represents Ram and e trailer. Flawless install works great
Installation on the trailer is more awkward than in the video, because you have to work upside down, but it wasn't hard. It would be nice to warn people that they need a 3/4 inch socket or wrench.
I trust it work well when I hitch it up, but it looks good at this point.

This was just what I needed. The coupler on my new trailer did not work correctly. The dealer replaced the latch mechanism with a 2000 pound assembly that did not lock on my hitch ball. I decided to resolve the issue myself and found this on etrailer. It works great by securing my trailer to the hitch ball.
