Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located beneath the rear of your vehicle, on the passenger's side.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

This wasn't a surprise, because prior to this purchase, I bought a custom Curt receiver hitch and wiring kit for my 2012 Ford Taurus with equally positive results.
I did both installations myself.
Very easy installation. Plugs into the OEM wiring system. Bought item with the Draw tite hitch (76034) and curt mounting bracket (C42CR). Primaryuse is to power my Curt LED auxiliary LED light on my bike rack and flexibility power trailer lights as needed. Used recently to tow a trailer on a long trip with zero issues.

1yr review, No issues and still works as designed.
The wiring system fit perfectly and it was fairly easy to install. I have ordered a number of items in the past from etrailer.com including hitches and other wiring systems. Save yourself some time and money and just go to etrailer for all of your trailering needs.

Perfect fit on my 2019 Ford Explorer XLT. The installation couldn't be easier, honestly. Truly plug and play. Now, I did have to buy a bracket to mount the 4-pole flat connector. I don't like the loose and flapping connector look. Other than that, installation was quick and painless as everything is already provided. I did go the extra mile and add dielectric grease, but that's just me being extra.
Installed the receiver on my 2015 Ford Explorer. Fit perfectly. I guess you can say everything went without a hitch!! LOL

Hitch and wiring harness works great on my 2015 Frod Explorer. install only took about 30 minutes.

Used this on my2016 Ford Explorer #C56172 couldn’t have been easier plug It in tie it down. I ran mine on top of hitch. Only thing is they need to provide longer ties not a problem for me have different sizes in my shop.
The product is a 4-5 star unit because it plugs in effortlessly and is "ready to go" in seconds. The black and white photos on the printed instructions drop it at least a half-star. They are just not useful.

I have purchased two different trailer hitches and wiring harnesses for two separate vehicles from etrailer.com; one for a 2019 Toyota Camry and one for a 2013 Ford Explorer. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. Today, as from day one, I am 100 satisfied with my purchase and my installation. I believed enough in my purchase that I bought ordered one for our priest - he has only words of praise for the product.

I installed this wiring harness on my daughter's 2015 Ford Explorer. It was a simple fit. Just pull off the protective cover on the car's wiring and plug this in. Route the wires along the receiver hitch and secure with zip ties. Done!! Works perfectly from the start.
