Question:
I am installing a Curt C56172 wiring harness. The vehicle did not come with a tow package. My 2018 Ford Explorer Limited has two separate sets of plugs at the right rear corner. One is black and one is white/tan. Which one do I use?

Hey Charles! When we installed the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56172 on a 2018 Explorer it was the black connector pictured below. You can also see this in our installation video. I'm sure one set of connectors fits the Curt wiring harness and the other doesn't so that would be another way to figure it out.

Yes the black connector right rear. It is a bit tight to get apart but that is the one. I would recommend dielectric grease to help with corrosion in the future. Hope this helps.
