This waterproof bag fits in your vehicle's hitch-mounted cargo carrier and holds your gear, leaving more passenger room and trunk space. It is made of a heavy-duty material with welded seams and zipper flaps to keep your cargo dry. It opens on the front and side for easy loading with zipper pulls that can accommodate a padlock for added security.
The Curt cargo bag is constructed of a thick, UV-resistant vinyl that is designed to keep your gear clean and dry. Welded seams keep water from seeping into the bag.
As an additional measure of protection for your gear, a vinyl flap covers the zipper and secures with hook-and-loop fasteners (similar to Velcro) to keep moisture out. When rain or snow hits, you can continue on your journey, knowing your cargo is safe and dry.
Position the bag in your basket and load the bag with cargo. Then zip up the bag and secure the zipper flap.
Adjust the integrated polypropylene straps on the bag to the length needed. Then wrap each strap around the bars of the cargo carrier so that the bag is secured at 6 points. Tighten the straps with the sturdy plastic buckles.
When you are not using the bag, just remove it from your roof and fold it up until your next trip.
The zipper pulls have holes through which you can insert a padlock (sold separately) to guard against theft.

Drove this across country (and through some national parks with questionable road quality) and it held up great. Easy to fill and empty every day and you can attach a small lock to the zippers for security. Folds up small as well. Kept everything very clean.
Packed four carry on size suitcases plus some other gear, fit nicely and did the job for a long car trip. Easy to use, fit great on my hitch.
Just back from my first trip using this bag. Drove through heavy rain and everything inside was bone dry. I am a little concerned about durability...the stitching one one of the corners gave out on its first use. The bag was far from full, but the stitching pulled apart. I covered it with duct tape and that seemed to hold the rest of the seam in place.
A little to big compare to the cargo carrier from the same brand but it did its purpose kept everything dry after rainy days on the road

This things holds an insane amount of gear and is truly waterproof! We drove cross country through downpours and everything was perfectly dry inside! Not only is the waterproofing nice - but it’s nice to not have to strap down individual items - the straps on it work great and while we had extras on hand just in case we have never needed them!
For most part has been a really good purchase. It is water resistant but not water proof with a heavy downpour or all day long rain. Just had minor wetness. Strapping to carrier is good and so far sturdy but sometimes confusing so save instructions.
Awesome product, so glad I got this instead of trying to wrestle with tarps and bungee cords. Totally worth every penny. Was able to fit 5 Carry-on sized pieces of luggage in it with no problem.

Good quality. Fits very well on cargo carrier. I can put my large camping cooler in it & still have lots more storage room for other supplies. Best part is everything stays nice & dry when you zip it up. Ordering & shipping was quick & easy.

Bought this a year ago. The product worked as advertised. I’ve taken it on several long hauls Fl. to Co. and Fl to Pa. The bag kept everything dry and dust free. The bag has plenty of tie downs so no need for extra straps. I use it on my 2020 XC 40
Worked wonderfully. Held 6 people’s suitcases when used with the rack. We had to loosen it to open our minivan rear door but that was a small cost. We drove with it over 1200 miles and used the matching hitch rack. Nothing got wet.
Size charts were accurate and bag fit perfectly on rack. Bag is durable with a heavy duty zipper that seals well. Although the straps for the bag feel a little low quality, they have performed very well and held in place for the duration of transport.
I have not yet used the bag - for now I'll give it 5 stars. If I think of it I'll come back and update this review after I use it.
Received it within 2 days of ordering. I spent a lot of time researching the different cargo carriers and bags sold by etrailer. Chose it because it is larger than others.
I wish it came with better straps. I purchased ratchet type straps with hooks to secure it to the cargo carrier.
Carried this bag on a curt carrier. We traveled 1000 miles with it at 70mph+ speeds. Can’t confirm waterproof yet but it did very great traveling. We use it to carry clothes, pillows, and bags for increased trunk space storage for more value able things. We do wish it had cargo handles on the side or something bc we do carry it in and out of the house for easy packing/unpacking. Overall very happy with it.
Feels like real quality product, it is really strong material and dosen’t look cheap at all, the only thing is the zipper is kind of hard to go around the corner of the bag when cold.
Cargo bag is awesome. We frequently use this for our camping trips and i was amazed by how much it helps to protect my stuff from AZ heat and rain. I have even used this in my travel from AZ to LA and vice versa. Zipper is well built and you could tell that it will last a long time. The straps that came with the cargo bag is a huge help, and secures my load without me worrying that it will fall off. Highly recommend this product!
I haul a 34 ' 5th wheel trailer to camp in and it has a receiver hitch . I use a cargo carrier also to
haul my pellet smoker and a large plastic tub and lid for the pellets and accessories.
I feel more comfortable using a cable lock to secure the smoker to the trailer . I bought
this Curt Cargo bag to go over the carrier and the cargo so you can't see the contents
or the lock only the bag and the bag is water proof so the contents are protected from
prying eyes and the weather. I would definitely recommend this product because it looks good and works well.
Zipper was a little tough to get around the corners but fit as many Xmas presents as Santa could in his sack. Great for getting everything back home after the holidays. Was a little skeptical of the tie downs but they were solid and I supplemented with a ratchet strap.
We have owned our Curt cargo bag and hitch mounted cargo carrier for a year. Today, my husband said, "I don't remember what we paid for these, but whatever it was, it was worth it." We have used our carrier for everything from hauling luggage to free up space in our SUV for people, to hauling house maintenance equipment like a power washer. The cargo bag has kept our luggage dry in a drenching, blowing storm. We are in our 70s, and putting the carrier on and taking it off are easy and quick to accomplish. Just a little wiggling to line up the holes to feed the connector rod through. We are annoyingly picky consumers, and this carrier and bag combo is one of our most satisfactory purchases ever.
Works exactly like I expected to. Serves the purpose I bought it for, that is keeping the rain out and covering two storage totes.
Love it, keeps everything dry and since it is much taller than the sides of the carrier you can pack a lot more into it and secure it with the 6 built in straps. Took it from Ohio to South Dakota on a camping trip and it held up great and everything was bone dry even through the rain.
I wasn't sure I would need this for the new rack I purchased, but got it just in case. Well, wouldn't you know it, it rained for part of our drive across 4 U.S. states. Although I didn't need to keep everything dry this time (two coolers of food and beer, plus some beach umbrellas and other stuff), I'm glad I have this for that reason. No water got inside the bag. It fit all that stuff and on the way back we piled some beach chairs on top without worry the bag would rip. Sure, you could cut it with a box cutter or knife, but it's pretty tough for normal and expected use.
The vinyl is thick and the zippers seem like good quality and it fit nicely within the rack that I also purchased from etrailor with a few inches to spare all around.
I've used it for one family vacation so far and can't comment on how long it will last, but I expect it to hold up over time. I don't see why this won't last for years.
The straps it came with made it fairly easy to tie down onto the rack.

Its been a year since I bought this and Im still happy with it. I used it again this summer on another drive through multiple states and it performed great. The material and zippers are holding up well.
