Question:

Hey, I am looking at buying a fold up trailer hitch cargo carrier. I do not need it to have a ramp on it for a motorcycle or anything. Is there one that yall recommend as better than the others? I drive a 2017 GMC Yukon. Also, what bag do you recommend for the rack that you prefer. Obviously I need one that is rain/weather proof. I dont mind paying a little more for a better product, so dont worry about the money portion of the cargo carriers. I just need to know what yall would recommend. Thanks so much!

I recommend the CarPod, part # M2205-01-02. This larger, folding carrier will work with your vehicle's larger hitch.

The CarPod is a walled, lockable carrier that includes a weather-resistant bag. This carrier can be used with or without the bag for a wide range of applications, and can be easily locked with a 1/4 inch diameter padlock like part # ML140DLH. The rack also can have its lid removed and when folding up, can be folded completely flat for improved clearance. The CarPod has a 450 pound capacity and adds 13.25 cubic feet of storage.

The CarPod is a great pick for longer, over the road trips because of its improved security and ease of use.
