I could not use the cargo carrier on my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited because when I opened the rear door it would hit the carrier and we could not access the back end without taking the carrier off.
No one told me at etrailer the carrier would not work.
The cargo carrier arrived promptly and I was able to assemble it and test install it in less than an hour. The information and videos on the eTrailer website were extremely helpful because there were many options to choose from. The additional advice I got from Anthony at etrailer helped me make the right choice.

Great, we drove over 500 miles with it up to Oregon in winter weather. After I learned to be careful on driveways with an abrupt elevation , it went fine.
Very much appreciated the quick delivery of my order - thank you! My husband assembled the carrier and it seems like a good sturdy product. Unfortunately, a severe illness in the family forced us to cancel our vacation and we have not had an opportunity to use the hitch & carrier yet.

would a scooter fit on this? it weighs about 200lbs and is 26 inches wide x 67 inches long.
This cargo carrier is easy to assemble, install, and fold up. The rail is nice for attaching ratchet straps to keep everything in place. It's sadly not wide enough to fit typical lawn chairs, so you'd have to put them sideways and laying on top of the rail. It seems to tilt in one direction. I'm not sure if it bent due to the load I put on it, or if that's the way it came together. It also wobbles a little bit due to (in my opinion) lax manufacturing tolerances. Overall, it does its job well.

If you do not already have one I recommend using part # 63232 which will give you a lock and anti rattle device in one.
Easy installation and solid build! We assembled the cargo carrier and installed the hitch very easily! Took it on a trip and it did great, we love it. Thanks so much etrailer!
Easy to assemble. Welds questionable. Paint quality poor. The flip hinge has play hopefully not noisy when loaded. Time will tell
This is perfect! Our Mazda cx5 didn't have a ton of ground clearance after installing the hitch. This cargo carrier with the hitch riser is perfect to solve that problem. My only complaint is I stepped between the metal supports and the meshvonnthe bottom came loose/bent. Still holds up just find though. Ice had this thing fully loaded, too! Definitely recommend a anti-rattle or stabilizer kit to help stabilize it and lift it up.

Love the cargo carrier for our hitch. However, I wish there were horizontal supports under the metalmesh on the bottom. If anything relatively heavy isn’t on one of the supports, the mesh bends or pops out of place. It looks like it may have been painted after the mesh was in place because the outer edges are starting to rust already. My only complaints. We’ve loaded this thing up high and wide and it works great!

The 20x59 inch Curt cargo carrier works well for my Dodge minivan. The price was very reasonable and construction seems durable and heavy. Assembly was not difficult. It can be installed on the van by one person, but definitely easier with two. I got the 2inch hitch version. I can fit two 35 gallon trash cans in it, plus a smaller can, with room to fit misc trash. I can also fit two 22 inch walk behind mowers on it, with gas and string trimmer. I can fit about 5 buckets of sand in the winter, 5 gal each, chainsaws, tools, gas, oil, anything you wouldn’t want inside the vehicle. I’ve had this for about a year and it continues to be a very helpful accessory.

After a couple of years, the product is still working well. No issues at all.
Product came in excellent condition and shipping is fast. Very satisfied and definitely will do business again.
The carrier was well constructed and easy to put together. I did add an additional hole in the receiver bar to bring the carrier closer to the back of the car.

I currently use this on my Xterra. It's sturdy, lots of places to hook tie-down straps and bungies. There's plenty of room to open the rear door with this in the down position (as long as I don't have tall items in the carrier). Handled cross-country trips without any issue. And it conveniently folds up out of the way when not in use.

I received my cargo carrier and had it assembled in about an hour.
It fits perfectly, helps protect the spare from theft. I can access the 110 ac cord as well
as the water heater.
Great product, great customer service and great shipment.
Now I can take a generator and other extras to Yellowstone NationPark in October.

I very glad i went with the folding carrier. It very convenient and i never have to worried about it during our trips.

After a year this is still a great product!!
Easy assembly. .10 min...great quality. .love the folding feature...I bought this for my hunting jeep so I have a spot available to load game but not be forced to have a carrier hanging out at all times...as long as the 500lb rating holds up I couldn't be happier ..I won't need near that but the 300 lb carriers seemed a little lite

Attached to: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # C13163
Use: Camping equipment. Cooler, Chairs, Sleeping bags, firewood, etc.
Like: The fact that it folds is a huge positive.
What I would change: perhaps adding a ring or two on the sides to allow for bungee cords or rope.
Because the hitch is already a bit low on the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander (stock wheels, tires, suspension) the back part of the basket can bottom out rather easily. It has nothing to do with the carrier itself though.
I would definitely recommend this product! I'm going to use it again in a month for our next camping trip.
It was very hard to figure out what kind of cargo carrier would be the best for my needs, until I got on your website. Your videos are very informative to help with making the decision of which cargo carrier was best.
It was very easy to put together, and very strong (I put my husband in it)this is perfect for our vacation transportation.

This carrier was super easy to assemble. It is a bit heavy but I was able to mount it onto my hitch alone. I’m using an anti-rattle lock and they work great together.

No issues after a year of use. We used it maybe four times last summer for our trips to the lake. Haven’t noticed any rattling or loosening of boltswelds.
Just got out of box , looks good will assemble tomorrow did slide the post into 2 inch tr hitch on jeep??. For beach hauling with grandkids,beach chairs can use bungee cords cooler. Can haul things to dump. Maybe an excellent later on , probably will venture out with it in a couple of weeks.
Order and delivery process quick and easy. Assembly OK (Not too many of us have a ft lb torque wrench or the correct size metric sockets)
A word of caution: if you have a rear mounted ladder, measure the distance to the hitch receiver to make sure the flip up carrier will not interfere. It is a good, solid product and etrailer an excellent company to deal with.

Unfortunately this can sometimes happen with side-opening rear hatches. To help determine if your vehicle will make contact, this carrier will come straight out from the hitch receiver and the sidewalls measure 5-58 inches tall. When folded down, the closes part of the cargo basket is 19 inches out from the center of the hitch pin hole.
