Features to know about

Effortless Installation: Bolt-On, No-Weld Design

Installing a hitch can often be a daunting task, but the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver #C13240 makes it straightforward with its bolt-on design that requires no welding. This user-friendly setup uses eight M10 x 1.25 bolts, which fit perfectly onto pre-drilled holes in your vehicle's frame. For enthusiasts who love DIY, the hitch offers a seamless fit for vehicles like the Hyundai Tucson, ensuring you spend less time in the garage and more time on the road.

Perfect for Multi-Use: Class III Towing Versatility

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver shines with its versatility for various towing needs. Rated as a Class III hitch, it provides a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver that's perfect for hauling bike racks, cargo carriers, or small trailers. The robust structure supports up to 3,500 pounds in gross trailer weight and 525 pounds in tongue weight, equipping you to handle everything from weekend getaways to home improvement projects with confidence.

Built to Last: Durable Powder-Coated Finish

Weather can be brutal on vehicle equipment, but not with the Curt Trailer Hitch. Its gloss black powder-coated finish over a protective base coat offers superior rust resistance. This ensures that your hitch not only looks great but withstands the elements year-round, maintaining both function and appearance no matter where your adventures take you.

Sleek, Functional Design: Concealed Cross Tube

If aesthetics is a priority, you'll appreciate the Curt Trailer Hitch's concealed cross tube design. This feature provides a low-profile look that's barely noticeable on your vehicle, maintaining the sleek lines of your car while still offering you the full functionality of a robust hitch. It’s ideal for those who want to keep their vehicle’s appearance top-notch while still reaping the full benefits of towing capability.

American Craftsmanship: Assembled in the USA

Supporting local craftsmanship is a plus with this trailer hitch as it’s proudly assembled in the USA. • Are Bolts for Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on Hyundai Tucson Threaded
The bolts for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13240 are M10-1.25 x 30 inch hex bolts, and they are already threaded. I have added links below for you to check out of the instructions and a video install on a 2020 Hyundai Tucson of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13240.

  • Is there a Roof Rack Available for a 2021 Hyundai Tucson with a Panoramic Sunroof
You are correct in that roof racks for the 2021 Hyundai Tucson are not compatible with the panoramic sunroof. However, there still may be options available to you for your accessories. For example, if you are looking to transport some bikes, you can use a trunk-mounted carrier like the Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack, part # Y02633. I've linked to a video review of it below. Or, if you wanted a cargo carrier, you could combine a hitch and a hitch-mounted cargo carrier. For the hitch, you...

  • What Size Bolts Are Used for Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13240
The bolts included with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13240 referenced in your question are M10-1.25 x 30 inch hex bolts. If you are just needing the replacement hardware for the trailer hitch, you will use part # RHK. Once on the product page, you will simply type the part number (C13240) into the "Hitch Item Number" box and select the manufacturer. We will then assemble the correct replacement hardware kit needed to install the hitch. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2...

  • Recommended Kayak Trailer for Old Town Sportsman 106 Kayaks
I recommend the Malone MicroSport Trailer for 2 Heavy Kayaks - 7' Bunks - 800 lbs # MPG461B2 for your Old Town Sportsman 106 Kayaks. This trailer will have no problem holding your 10'6" long x 36" wide kayaks. Based on the dimensions you gave me, it looks like you have the powered version that weighs 121 lbs. The # MPG461B2 has a maximum boat weight capacity of 225 lbs per boat so that is also more than enough. It uses 7' bunks to hold your kayaks and also comes with a full size spare....

  • Will Curt Hitch C13240 Work w/ Exhaust on 2020 Hyundai Tucson
I took a look at your 2020 Hyundai Tucson Limited and it has two exhaust tips on the passenger side which will work fine with the Curt Hitch # C13240 as that's considered single exhaust by the manufacturer. The night edition has dual exhaust tips, one on each side of the car which causes the problems with the hitch fitting, and is the only fit exclusion.

  • Trailer Hitch Fit for 2019 Hyundai Tucson
Yes, I checked with Curt and the hitch part # C13240 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Hyundai Tucson. This hitch is really great as it has a 2 inch opening which means it has plenty of towing capacity and accessories made for it and since it has a concealed cross tube it's far less visible than other hitches. I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well.

  • Will The Curt Hitch C13240 Fit My 2022 Hyundai Tucson?
The Curt hitch # C13240 fits Hyundai Tucson 2016-2021. They made some changes for the 2022 model so the 13240 will not fit your vehicle in this case. If you are in need of a hitch for your 2022 Hyundai Tucson I recommend the Curt class 3 hitch part # C94WR. This hitch is rated for 3,500 lbs and 525 lbs tongue weight. I have linked our install video below for you to take a look at. Keep in mind that while no drilling is required for installation, you will have to loosen and possibly trim...

  • Trailer Hitch Tongue Weight Recommendation For A 2018 Hyundai Tucson
Even Though The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13240 is rated for a 525 pound tongue weight, since your vehicle's manual states that you have a maximum tongue weight of 220 pounds you 100% can not exceed the 220 pounds. So I do not recommend hauling around your dirt bike carrier because it exceeds the 220 pounds. You also would have to add the weight of the dirt bike added onto the carrier and that would more than double the maximum tongue weight for your 2019 Hyundai Tucson. There will...

The only hitch we offer for your 2024 Kia Telluride is the Curt part # C13420 which has a 5,000 lb towing capacity without weight distribution or 6,000 lbs if using a WD system. This is a really nice hitch though that is well made and mostly hidden since only the hitch opening hangs below the rear bumper.

  • Curt vs. etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2021 Hyundai Tucson
Just a single difference exists between the Curt and etrailer trailer hitches for your 2024 Acura RDX, which is the finish. The etrailer hitch has a matte black finish, while the Curt hitch has a glossy black finish, so you can choose which you prefer. The hitches that fit your '24 Acura RDX are the following part numbers: - Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13240 - etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e54AR The matte black finish does hide those inevitable small scuffs a bit better than the...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2018 Hyundai Tucson with Dual Exhaust Tips
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13240 is what I recommend for a 2018 Hyundai Tucson. It will fit models with dual exhaust tips as you can see in the photo below, just not Night Edition models. This hitch will be great for towing or hitch mounted accessories like bike racks such as the Thule Camber Bike Rack part # TH9056 which is what I recommend.

When it comes to installing a hitch on your 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, the # C13240 will not work but The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 inch # C94WR is confirmed to fit. This hitch has a gross towing weight of up to 3,500 pounds and has a gross tongue weight up to 525 pounds. While the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13240 will fit your 2021 Hyundai Tucson you will need either the Curt # C34ER or our etrailer # e28AR receiver for your 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid. Personally I prefer our etrailer # e28AR receiver with the matte black finish. It is also manufactured by Curt so you get the quality you expect with Curt. • Why Does the Trailer Wiring Harness For a 2019 Hyundai Tucson Require a Power Wire
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118812 which is a fit for a 2019 Hyundai Tucson does require a wire to be run to the vehicle's battery for power. The reason for this is because the vehicle's tail light circuits are not rated high enough for the additional amp draw of the trailer lights. Furthermore, this acts as a barrier to protect the vehicle' tail lights if there were ever an issue with the trailer's lights. In regards to other trailer wiring harnesses that don't require a power...

  • Does Curt C13240 Class III Hitch Require Stabilizing Strap for Non-Trailer Loads
Curt backed off on the stabilizing strap requirement a few years back, although the caveat still appears on of some of our fitguide pages for hitches where Curt hasn't yet updated the installation instructions. The Curt # C13240 would work great on your 2017 Hyundai Tucson, as long as it isn't the Night Edition with dual exhaust tips. You needn't worry about the # 18050 stabilizing strap, so if you'd prefer the Curt versus the # 75836 from Draw-Tite, there's no reason why you can't go...

I was able to confirm with Curt and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13240 has been carried over as a fit for a 2021 Hyundai Tucson. In regards to the trailer wiring, you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C89KR. These are both great bolt-on/plug-in play options that will get you setup and towing in no time. In order to complete your setup, I'd add the etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900.

The power wire has to be connected to the vehicle battery because no other 12 volt power source is appropriately rated for this application. Out of the available hitches it's always better to go with the larger 2" hitch receiver (for fitment with more accessories) which we have both the Draw-Tite # 75836 and the Curt # C13240. The trailer hitch has a bolt-on installation with no welding required. I like this hitch over the others that we sell because it is manufactured in The USA. • Trailer Hitch and Towing Equipment Recommendation for 2019 Hyundai Tucson
For your 2019 Hyundai Tucson, I'd recommend the Curt Class III, part # C13240 which fits all models except for the Night Edition with the dual exhaust tips on both sides of the vehicle. If you do have the Night Edition, unfortunately the exhaust would interfere with the installation of a hitch and we don't offer anything that would work. For a trailer wiring harness, I'd recommend the Tekonsha # 118812, for a ball mount use # 2753 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball. I've...
