Trailer wiring harnesses for your 2016 Hyundai Tucson, # C56348 and # 118501, both install the same way. They connect to the vehicle in 3 places: behind each of the tail lights and to the battery. The power wire has to be connected to the vehicle battery because no other 12 volt power source is appropriately rated for this application.
I have included a link to our help article with tips on routing the power wire.
If you do not already have a trailer hitch then you could use # C13240. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver opening. If you plan on doing some towing you can use ball mount # C45030 with 1-7/8 inch ball use 19260, 2 inch ball # 63845, or 2-5/16 inch ball # 63847.
If the ball mount does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
