Install your electric trailer brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the built-in port under the driver's seat.
Features:
To install your electric brake controller, you need to connect the wiring of the controller to your vehicle. Certain auto manufacturers offer pre-wired options, typically known as tow packages, wherein wiring is run for you from the dash to the trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. When this is done, a port is installed at your dash so that you can easily plug in a brake controller.
The connector is located under the driver's seat. No hardwiring is required to install this adapter. After you plug it into the factory port, you simply plug the other end of the adapter directly into your electric trailer brake controller. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time to transfer it to another vehicle or securely stow it away.

It unit operats the electric brakes on my trailer great and I love that I can adjust the braking power from inside my motorhome.
In case my first review posts, after an unsuccessful online chat with someone at etrailer, I called them and spoke with a very nice and knowledgeable man (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name). He walked me through the subtle differences between the 2nd generation Sprinter van 7-way factory plug and the 3rd (current) generation van which I have and via telephone I was able to get the Tekonsha adapter harness connected. Works great, following instructions and installed the trailer controller. Not all defaclut to install and the hardest thing was getting a 66 Year old kid in position to install it under the dash! I don’t bend as easy as I use too.
I really like it so far. It was easy to install and it has an excellent response to braking. I installed it on my 2023 Mercedes/Coachmen motorhome that pulls a car trailer with a Jeep on board. In my test run this week it has worked great. Leaving soon for two weeks traveling south and will let you know how it works on the long haul.

This harness fits more years than noted, so long as you have the green factory connector under the driver seat. I thought shipping this item would take several weeks but E-Trailer had it out in just a couple days. A quality product that worked perfectly and was easily installed.

So glad I purchased. So little effort to install and it allowed the Tekonsha controller to work while pulling a trailer in Alaska. Very easy mod to our 2012 MB Sprinter.
This made connecting my me REDARC Brake Controller easier than hard wiring.
Installed this in my 2020 Winnebago View (a 2019 MB Sprinter cassis and cab). I'm using it with a Brake Buddy Stealth controller. Routing it to the dash has a chore, but there are how-to videos on [online]. Most will simply lop off the Tekonsha connector and splice it directly to the pigtail wires on the Stealth controller. I chose, instead, to purchase a mating connector and add THAT to my controller, making the setup compatible with other popular controllers and removable without cutting wires. The Sprinter is pre-wired to "always hot" positive power, which means that you will always have power to the controller and a drain on your battery during storage. You can pull the fuse (in the panel under the driver's seat) or, as I chose to do, wire in a cutoff switch on the dash.
Hello Alex. I appreciate the follow-up on my brake controller and wiring for my Sprinter van. The wiring was plug and play. It was s little difficult running the wires, but I got it. Again the wiring was plug and play along with the brake controller. I plugged it in and it immediately worked. I haven't towed the trailer with it yet, but will soon. Thanks again for the information on what to buy. You made the project so much easier.
The adapter harness fit great, clipped right in at both ends. that said they 'cheaped ou't on the amount of wire in the harness, it fit but barely, life would have been so much easier if there was another 12" of wire.
The controller itself was just OK, nothing more. No on/off switch capability so it is always on if its in the harness. I wouldn't have purchased it had I known that, now it has to come in and out with each use so it doesn't bleed down the battery, what a P.I.T.A. Also the mounted bracket didn't really fit a Sprinter as suggested. I wish I would have purchased the DrawTight brake controller, lots easier fit into a sprinter junk tray.
I have purchased many trailer parts from e trailer including bearings, rotors, seals all for boat trailers. Recently an electric controller. Service has always been excellent with prompt delivery and good pricing.

Used this harness adapter to connect to the factory brake controller harness provided under driver’s seat in factory tow-optioned Sprinter van. Worked as advertised and connected a Curt Spectrum brake controller to said factory harness.

This harness fit perfectly in my 2008 Sprinter and made the installation of a brake controller very easy. Would recommend to anyone who wants to add one to their vehicle.

This made adding a brake controller to my sprinter van a lot easier. Unfortunately it’s not plug and play with the Redark controller, so I had to splice to the controller connections.
the controller and wiring harness made this almost the easiest addon I have done. Hardest part was removing the seat off the base on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Wow, that seat is heavy. But, the installation was soo simple and the instructions completely accurate.
This worked perfectly to make connecting my brake controller to my 2015 Sprinter 3500 a plug and play operation.
