Does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 have the Plug-In for Brake Controller Harness?

Question:

I am interested in a Redarc Brake Controller for my 2024 Mercedes Sprinter Van 2500. I have been watching the video you have at When I go to the parts listed 331-TPH-017 and 3063-P it says it will not fit my van. Would these parts work with a Redarc controller in the Sprinter? Will any Redarc Two-Pro controller work with the Sprinter? Thanks

Hello Brad,

I was able to see the video that you referenced that our Brad did. His video is on a 2020 Sprinter 2500, we know the plug-in for the brake controller was on the 2020, the information I am finding on the 2024 is that it may or may not be there. The best way to know if it is there or not, is to go look. I do not have a 2024 Sprinter 2500 here right now to go look for myself, and we have not installed one on that year either for me to watch the video.

I am showing that if it is in your Sprinter it will be located either under the driver’s seat or behind a panel near the OBD-II port. In the 2020 it was under the seat. If you are able to check and it is there, then you will need the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness - Dash Knob - Proportional # RED52VR, the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Dual Plug In # 3063-P, and the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness # 331-TPH-017.

If it is not there, then you will need to splice in the # RED52VR with the universal pigtail it comes with.

If you happen to go look, can you please let me know if you were able to find it? Would love to get out information updated if it is there. I checked with our manufacturers and it looks like none of them have the vehicle specific pigtail listed either.

I recently bought a 2024 MB Sprinter 170 2500 with trailer wiring. I did locate the green plug under the drivers seat similar to the video on the 2019 Sprinter. Should the 3063-P Tekonsha harness plug work with this? I plan on installing a Redarc tow pro elite so I'd be ordering the Redarc to Tekonsha pig tail adapter too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

@JesseM Yes. since you found the plug-in in your 2024 Sprinter you will need the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Dual Plug In # 3063-P. What are you going to be towing behind your Sprinter Jesse?
