only sent 27 foot why no spool

by:

Works fine.

by:

Wire is of high quality

by:

Exccellant value as sold by the foot instead of by the roll.

by:

The products were exactly as advertised and they even expedited my shipping. Great customer service.

by:

Pay attention everyone unlike me. It is by foot and I didn’t order right. My fault

by:

Was larger gauge than I needed but worked just fine. This 10 gauge wire is blue but my stock wiring was about 14 gauge but since the used a circuit breaker to cross connect it was not a problem.

by:

It took a while to get to me since several items in the order were back ordered, but someone from etrailer regularly communicated the status. All items arrived in good condition, but I haven’t had time to install.

by:

As described. Customer service was excellent as always!

by:

Nice quality

by:

Excellent brake controller. etrailer was prompt in shipping and service outstanding. Would definitely buy from etrailer again.

This brake controller is working great. Would recommend it Easily adjustable for driving conditions

by:

Ordered a pair of Dexter electric brake kits for my trailer. Everything arrived within a few (3) days in good shape. Installed on the trailer, everything works as advertised. I have ordered from etrailer several times over the past few years. Always great service and prices. Customer service and tech assist is especially good with these folks. I would send pictures but the trailer is out working.

by:

Works as advertised.

by:

Fast delivery - Ordered on 9/29/17 - Received on 10/4/17
Excellent heavy gauge wire!
NOTE for etrailer managers. I am a technical person by nature and speaking only for myself, when I buy and pay for a specific amount of something, I expect to get that amount. I'm not pinching pennies with you here; BUT, I bought 30' of this wire and when I received it, I measured it twice and came up with 29' 9". Most places I've dealt with in the past where I buy wire, angle iron, etc.. would give you a couple of inches or more than you ordered versus a couple of inches shorter than what was ordered. Very stingy in my opinion and not fair to your customers.

by:

Couldn't be happier. Bought a couple of 4 to 7 way adapters, some 10 gauge wire and a couple of 40a breakers. Recommendations from etrailer were thorough and well done.
All installed on both vehicles ... both working just great.

by:

Good price, and just what I needed for carrying the heavier loads needed for charging the trailers on board battery, and running the refrigerator/freezer.

by:

The wiring harness set is flawless and the installation went smooth, even for this less than electrically inclined guy. A couple hours or work and I was on the road towing with confidence

by:

ettrailer was extremely helpful with adding brakes to my utility trailer. This wire was just one component in the upgrade. Thank you etrailer. I would definitely recommend them.

by:

The wire itself seems okay, although the packaging wasn't great. Ordered 75 feet of wire along with a coupler. The wire was coiled in the bottom of the box, with the coupler sitting on top of it in direct contact. I noticed some nicks in the wire insulation as a result of the coupler edges hitting it during shipping.

eTrailer did a great job of shipping quickly! Order packaging needs some serious attention.

by:

Order accurately filled, (I even called back to add some items). The order even came more quickly than I expected. Quality of the parts appears to be excellent!

Thank you!

Working fine. No problems.

Wire was just what I needed to add the battery charger wiring to the 6 pin receptacle for the TOAD vehicle.

by:

Very happy with the wiring. Works well, easy install. less memory then I expected. Nice having power from my tow vehicle to my trailer.

  • Brakes for Second Axle on Horse Trailer
Hey Robert! Ideally you're going to get 12V all the way back to the brakes but that typically doesn't happen. What exactly is the issue? Are they not working at all? At 8-9V I would expect them to have most of their functionality to a point you probably wouldn't notice. Are you saying you have 11V at the brake assemblies when you use the jumper pack? Do you have full 12V coming off of your vehicle when you use the manual override on your brake controller? Some typical issues with low voltage...

Hey Jeff, thanks for reaching out! From the information you gave me, I'm pretty sure you have 3.5K axles on your trailer so you'll need the following: - etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-35-SA (1 set per axle) - Galvanized Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-G-K (2 per axle) - Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit # ET7WK - Breakaway Battery Kit # 3802346 - 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 (to run from the coupler and connect the brake assemblies together) - Heat...

  • Parts Needed to Add Brakes to Trailer that Has 5,200 lb Axles
Hey Rudi, the etrailer brake assemblies part # AKEBRK-7-SA that you referenced is the correct place to start as that is correct for a 5,200 lb axle. Next you will need hub drums but that will depend on the wheel bolt pattern you have. If it's a 6 lug setup you would want the # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K or if it's an 8 lug you'd need part # AKHD-865-7-G-EZ-K. These are sold individually. When you go to wire everything up be sure to use 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot.

  • Parts Needed To Add Electric Drum Brakes To A Pontoon Trailer
Hey Jeremy, Typically with boat trailers the manufacturer will install hydraulic surge brakes because you don't have to worry about the water damaging wires like you would with electric brakes. That being said, if you use a heat shrink butt connector # DW05745-10 you'll be able to protect your electrical connections and shouldn't have a problem. To add brakes you'll need to check the axle/spindle to see if you have a brake mounting flange. If you don't then you'll have to buy new axles...

These can be saved for use later on if you want a hardwired brake controller or have a boat trailer with a reverse lock out solenoid. The 10" Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-26-27 will work if you have 3,500 lb axles and a square 4-bolt brake mounting flange (2-7/8" apart on center) but you'll also need 2 of the 10" Hub and Drum...

To wire these up you'd just need 10 gauge wire like the part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot. Then to add a 7-way the easiest way to do that is with the 7-way junction box # e99011.

  • Brakes Lock Up on Trailer Using the Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator
The issue you described sounds like a problem on the trailer side wiring. I have attached the wiring diagram of the Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator part # T4813100 for you. The first thing you will want to check is the blue brake output wire that leads from the trailer side trailer connector to the actuator. If this has a break and is shorting out to another cricut like the 12 volt battery charge line then that could very well cause the brakes to lock up intermittently....

There isn't anything like an autonomous controller that would step up if the factory controller fails. I'd simply bypass the existing factory brake controller. The 12 volt accessory circuit on your 2019 Ford F-150 activates in a pretty unique way. You first have to connect the trailer to the truck and then using the dash display let the truck recognize the trailer. Also once this is done the circuit is still only active when the vehicle is in drive.
