  • Recommended Hoses and Regulator to Connect 100 Pound Cylinder to Main House Line
  • It sounds like you are needing a hose and regulator to go from your 100 pound cylinder to the house main line. If you have a DOT tank with a Type 1 fitting, you can use a hose like the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100833-15, which can connect to a regulator like # 108220. From there you can connect a hose assembly like the 4 foot # 100383-48-MBS if your main line uses a 1/2 inch flare fitting. You can also install the Camco Propane Cylinder Gas Gauge # CAM59023 to the tank before...

  • Dual Propane LP Tank Setup 100 Lb for RV or Travel Trailer
  • Yes, the # 100019-24 pigtail can be used to connect your dual-cylinder 100 lb propane setup to the regulator on your RV. Since this hose does not have a back-check to contain a gas leak, you will need the # 204120-MBS fitting that includes a back-check. Without the back-check, your setup would not be RVIA (Recreation Vehicle Industry Association) compliant. You mentioned that you'd like to connect to a T first, before connecting to the regulator. I called my contact at MB Sturgis...

  • Recommended 11-14 Water Column (WC) Rated Propane Regulator for a Generator
  • The water column (WC) rating of the Single Stage Propane Regulator part # 108072 would be far too high for your generator. Instead, you are going to want to use a two-stage regulator like the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator part # 108220 which will supply between 11-12.5 inches of water column. The two stage regulator would also supply more BTU's for your generator in comparison to a single stage.

If you have the quick-connect on it, then I recommend the Camco Quick-Connect to Quick-Connect Propane Hose - 3' Long # CAM57280. If you have a traditional propane tank connection on it, then I recommend the MB Sturgis RV Quick-Connect Propane Grill Hose - 60" Long # 100304-60-MBS or the # 100304-120-MBS. • Are There Propane Adapters/Lines that Prevent Gas from Leaking
  • Sounds like you are asking about a back check style of line/adapter. We have the part # 204120-MBS that is a propane fitting that has a back check built into it. It is a fit for 1/4 inch NPT lines and will prevent gas from leaking out of the regulator inlet. Hoses don't generally fail often, but it is possible that they can fail. It is possible your current line has a back check built into it and it has failed.

  • Replacement Regulator For a Coleman Pop Up Camper
  • I'd be surprised if you have a line that has a pressure rating higher than 11 inch water column as that's the standard for camper applications. If you are looking for a new regulator the MB Sturgis Regulator part # 108221 is a great solution to replace it.

  • Replacement Single Stage High Pressure Regulator
  • Yes. You can use regulator # 108072 since it is a high pressure regulator. There should be a second regulator, probably on the opposite side of the trailer, that takes the pressure down further to an 11" water column for use with the accessories that run off of propane.

  • Effect of Adding Propane Hose Extension to Thor RV Propane Hookup
  • Adding propane hose length to your outdoor RV cooking setup can cause you to lose substantial propane pressure. It really comes down to the propane level in the tank(s) and whether that is enough to overcome the additional resistance of a doubled hose length. Thor supplies a 10-foot hose as this will be short enough to deliver adequate pressure with most propane accessories. The extra 10-feet will probably not be an issue with the tanks completely full but at 1/2 capacity the tanks on...

  • Replacement Propane Trunk Hose from Regulator to Trailer
  • It's hard to tell from the pictures what size fittings are being used but what you need is a trunk hose from your regulator to the trailer. Once you know the size of each fitting it shouldn't be difficult to find a hose. It looks to me likes it's probably a 3/8 inch for both of them which means you can use part # 100040-48-MBS for a 4 foot, part # 100040-72-MBS for a 6 foot, or part # 100040-144-MBS for a 12 foot. • Can a Single Stage Propane Regulator Be Used In Place of a Dual Stage
  • The MB Sturgis Single Stage Propane Regulator part # 108072 can be used in place of a dual stage regulator so long as the fittings on the end of the leader hose are the same which they should be. I am not sure what you mean by, "Can I swap these out and then have the regulator on the stove come into play" but you only need to have one regulator running from the propane supply to the accessory assuming it reduces the pressure to the correct water column (W.C.) count and has the correct BTU...

  • Coleman 285 Grill Compatibility with Propane Quick Connect on Trailer
  • Your quick disconnect was designed for appliances like a grill or stove to be used. Certain grills do have a different connection that requires more power as your Coleman Roadtrip may. Based on some research there are many videos that show how to remove your regulator on your grill so it can be used with your quick connect, but it does require some modification of your grill connection with a kit that we don't offer. I instead recommend using the Camco 90-Degree Brass Propane Tee...

What you would do is simply attach the male quick disconnect end of that hose to the female disconnect of the 4 foot MB Sturgis Dual Quick Disconnect Propane Hose # 100395-48-MBS. I've added links to video reviews of both parts for you to take a look at.

  • Troubleshooting a Propane Leak at Hose and Tank Connection
  • We may have a solution for you but If the leak is on the tank side of the connection then we do not carry a part that will solve the issue. Since the tank is on a trailer it's likely that it uses a Type 1 fitting. You can try replacing the hose with a Type 1, like # 100575-30-MBS, and see if this fixes your leak. I've linked our selection of Type 1 hoses for you as well.
