RV Door Parts with Screen Door Closer Kits
Keep your screen door pulling shut smoothly with a closer kit made for RV entryways. Measure inside the entry door from frame edge to frame edge and round up to the nearest even width like 22", 24", 26", 28", or 30" to get the right size. Some designs only fit right-hand Lippert doors, while universal spring closer kits screw into the frames and tighten as you spread the spring; these close the screen door, not the main door.
Most screen door closers in this group do not have a speed adjustment. You can move the anchor point to reduce pull and help prevent a hard slam. Wind can be a factor, so test-close and fine-tune the mounting position to get the feel you want.
Measure inside the entry door frame from edge frame to edge frame and round up to the nearest even number. Measure the door frame, not the screen. If your inside-to-inside frame is about 28", stepping up to 30" has been the better fit. Double-check your measurement so the assembly fills the opening without excess strap showing.
No, these are intended to close the screen door. They help keep the screen latched so it is not left ajar. For heavier doors, do not expect the screen closer to do the work.
Some closers only fit right-hand Lippert doors that use an inner channel. While standing outside, hinges should be on the right and the door should have Lippert on the sticker. If your door is another brand or lacks the inner channel, a universal spring-style closer that screws to the frame is the better route.
