Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars Installation - 2019 Acura MDX

Hey, everybody Zach here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Thule EVO WingBar EVO Roof Rack system on our 2019 Acura MDX. Roof racks are a really great way to get a lot of different things on top of your roof. Whether you're looking to carry a cargo box or a roof basket to free up some space inside your vehicle on a trip, or you're looking to carry kayaks, skis and snowboards or bikes, this one's going to be a really good option because we're getting 53 inches of crossbar space. We've got a lot of distance there to get accessories on here, but we also have a 220 pound load capacity. That's pretty significant amount of weight you're putting up on top of your roof.



Yakima JetStream Crossbars Installation - 2016 Acura MDX

Speaker 1: Today in our 2016 Acura MDX, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Yakima roof rack system. This is going to consist of part numbers Y00426, those are going to be our Yakima JetStream crossbars, part number Y00146, those are our BaseLine towers, and part numbers Y06150, and Y06105. Those will be our BaseClip fit kits for our Acura MDX.The Yakima roof rack system is a great solution for carrying your vehicle accessories on your vehicle's naked roof, whether those are bike racks, cargo baskets, or ski and snowboard carriers. The Yakima JetStream crossbars are an aerodynamic crossbar that's going to help to reduce wind noise and drag.If we remove our end cap, you'll see our weather strip on the inside. This can easily be pushed down and used with channel-mounted accessories. So you don't have to worry about taking our weather strip out, or cutting it down.



Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2016 Acura MDX

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Acura MDX we're gonna be test fitting the Yakima CoreBar Roof Rack System. These are the Yakima crossbars, 60" long; these are the baseline towers; and this is the clip fit kit for the Acura MDX.The Yakima CoreBar Roof Rack System is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof, or freeing up space inside your vehicle. It can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, cargo boxes, as well as ski and snowboard carriers, and kayak carriers. The two bars have a combined carrying capacity of 220 pounds, although you always have to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. And at our end caps here we have these knockouts, which you can replace with the Yakima Same Key System, so both your accessories and your roof rack can be keyed alike and secured to your vehicle.Now that we've gone over some of the features of the roof rack system, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. We already have our front bar installed on our vehicle, and we have our rear bar partially assembled.



Inno Aero Crossbars Installation - 2016 Acura MDX

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Acura MDX we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Inno Roof Rack System. This is going to consist of the Inno Aero Crossbars measuring 60 inches long, with part number INXB153-2, the Inno Through Feet for Aero cross bars, part number INXS250 and the custom fit kit for our MDX, part number INK656.The Inno roof rack system, like most others, allows you to carry bike racks, kayak carriers and cargo baskets on your roof, and still have that aerodynamic shape that helps to reduce wind noise and drag. The Inno bars are also going to have the weather strip like most other cross bars. The only difference is that this one will push down and work with your channel mounted accessories, where others you actually have to remove that weather strip and cut it down. This is going to be easy to install. It's going to clamp around our door frame and lock into place.



Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2016 Acura MDX

Today on our 2016 Acura MDX we'll be doing a test fit of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System, using part numbers RRVA137B-2 for the 54" Black Aluminum Crossbars, and then part number RRRLKVA for the 2500 Series Leg Kits, and then part number DK400 for the clamps and the pads. We've already got the front one installed as you can see here. We followed our instructions, we came from the door jam over to the center, we measured out the distance and how far we're supposed to be for our legs underneath the bars, and then we tightened everything up, and we got it. So let's go ahead and do the rear one together. First thing we'll do is we'll grab the leg first, and then our pad. We want to make sure that the arrow is pointing out, so away, and then we're going to push that on the bottom. Make sure that it seats all the way around.



Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2016 Acura MDX

Today on our 2016 Acura MDX, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Yakima roof rack system. It's going to be part number Y00409, Y00124, and finally part number Y00731. As you can see, we've already got the first one up on the vehicle. That's going to be spaced off that front windshield 6" with an inside measurement from each Q Tower of 48". We'll explain how the second one goes together and the final measurements you need to make. The bar here is going to be your part number Y00409. You're going to have your Q Towers, which are going to be part number Y00124; and then finally, your fit kit for the vehicle specific, which is going to be part number Y00731. As you can see, we've already got one side on.



Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2011 Acura MDX

Today on our 2011 Acura MDX we're doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack RS2500 series roof rack system. These are vortex aero cross bars. The part number for this is RRRS475B. Now this is the whole kit that fits our Acura here. It comes with our cross bars and our foot pack attached to each other and then our fit kit. We already have our front one installed, we're going to show you how to install our back one here.



Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2011 Acura MDX DK173

Today on our 2011 Acura MDX, we're doing a test fit of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars. The part number for our crossbars today is RRVA137B-2. For the foot pack we're using it's RRRLKVA. For our fit kit for our MDX, we're using DK173. We already have our front bar in place, as you can see there. We've got our one foot pack here installed and in place. We're going to do our other one on the other side.



Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2009 Acura MDX

Today on this 2009 Acura MDX we will be test fitting a Thule Traverse Roof Rack. We already have the load bars and foot pack assembled per the instructions, so we will go ahead and show you how it looks on the vehicle. First well open the car doors and place the first load bar onto the vehicle facing the front, positioning them close to the windshield. Next we measure from the end of the windshield to the edge of the foot pack, that should be 10 for this particular install. Once thats measured out on both sides you want to check and make sure the load bar is centered on the vehicle. Now we will snug them down and lock them into place using the provided Accue Tight measuring tool.



Thule Roof Rack Review - 2007 Acura MDX

Today on our 2007 Accra NDX, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Tuley Arrow Blade Refrac system like the one up here on top of the vehicle that we've already installed. We're going to go through on how to install the back one, and a few measurements along the way. These are going to be part number THARb60 for your arrow blade, TH480R for your pedestals, and for your fit kit for the vehicle specific, it's going to be THKIT1549. We'll also be using the included tool, which is your accutight tensioner and Allan key, and a piece of tape rule. We'll go ahead and flip it over, and I'll show you what we got going on here. This is what it will look like, once it's installed onto our bar. With your clip here, that's going to clip underneath your windowsill, your rubber mat which is part of that kit, as well, that's going to sit down on top of the pane to protect it.



Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2007 Acura MDX

Today we are going to show you how the Thule Traverse roof rack system looks and fits on a 2007 Acura MDX. First thing we are going to want to do is go ahead and open up the doors on our MDX and then we will take the pre-assembled crossbars and go ahead and set them into position. Now we have the front crossbar set in place we want to just make sure that it is in its proper position and to do that we are actually going to take a tape measure and we want to measure out from the top edge of the windshield to the front end of the foot pack and on this particular vehicle that measurement is going to be 10 inches. Once we have ensured that dimension is set we can go ahead and tighten our foot pack down using the provided one torque tool which helps take the guesswork out of how tight you need to get the foot pack. Okay just go ahead and close the lid on our foot packs and we will go ahead and move on to the rear crossbar and we are going to repeat the same setup for the rear crossbar. :50
