SnowPack 6 Skis or 4 Boards

The Thule SnowPack lets you carry up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards on the roof of your vehicle. The low-profile carrier adjusts to the size of your skis and snowboards to reduce the height of the rack, and it installs quickly and easily with the SpeedLink mounting system. 2 sets of T-track extensions let you raise the carrier to accommodate skis and boards with tall bindings. And large push-button releases make it easy to load and unload, even with gloves on.

Vertical Spring System

Vertical Spring System

The SnowPack's smart vertical spring system gives the carrier a low profile and improves aerodynamics. The spring system adjusts to the thickness of the skis or snowboards you're loading and only raises the top of the carrier as high as needed to secure your gear. Similarly, when unloaded the spring system compresses to reduce the overall carrier height.

Ultra-Soft Rubber Liner

The spring system is made of an ultra-soft rubber that secures your skis and snowboards in place. The rubber lines the top and bottom of the arms and protects your gear from being scratched or scuffed by the carrier.

SpeedLink Mounting System

SpeedLink Mounting System

The carrier installs with the SpeedLink universal mounting system. Simply set the carrier on top of your crossbars and run the stainless steel straps under them. Then hook the straps onto the brackets on the other side of the mounting assembly and tighten them down with the turn knob.

2 Sets of Raisers

T-Track Raisers

The SnowPack comes with 2 sets of T-track raisers to protect your roof from skis or snowboards with tall bindings. To install, slide the channel bolts into your crossbar's T-track and snap the raisers onto the bottom of the carrier. Then set the carrier on your crossbars, running the channel bolts up through the holes in the raisers. Lastly, remove the pad inside the carrier and then tighten the cam levers to the channel bolts and throw the cam levers.

2 Sets of Raisers

The 2 sets of raisers can be used individually or together, depending on the size of the gear you're transporting.

Oversized Push-Buttons

Oversized Push-Buttons

The carrier opens with oversized push-buttons on the end of each arm. The large buttons release with a natural upward motion, so they're easy to operate even while wearing heavy, winter gloves.

One-Key Security

One-Key Security

The SnowPack comes equipped with Thule's One-Key System. The locks in the carrier's arms and the SpeedLink mounting assembly are all keyed alike, so you'll only have to keep track of one key. One-Key System lock cylinders can be swapped out to make all of your Thule gear keyed alike.

Video Transcript for Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Snow Pack ski and snowboard carrier for six skis or four boards, part number TH7326. The Thule Snow Pack 6 is the right on solution for carrying six skis or four boards on the roof of your vehicle. The smart vertical spring system accommodates all thicknesses of skis and boards, reducing the carrier's height for a more low profile and aerodynamic design. It features a large push button with a locking core. It's going to deter theft and can be released in a natural up motion to make it easier to load and unload your skis or snowboards, even when wearing a thick pair of gloves. The carriers themselves have a soft rubber padding on the top and on the bottom, so not only is it going to absorb the vibration while we're on the road, it's also going to protect our skis' and snowboards' finish. It features universal mounting hardware with Thule's locking core, so it can be keyed alike to all other Thule accessories. It's going to fit your round, square, arrow, elliptical, and most factory refract systems with or without your T-slot. The arms are constructed of a corrosion-resistant aluminum, so they're going to be strong and durable and stand up to the elements. Thule also stands behind their product and offers a limited lifetime warranty. Now that we've gone over the features, we're going to go ahead and show you how to get it installed. There's two ways to go about installing this on your roof rack.

We can use the T-slot method or we can use the clamp method. We're going to show you both. Let's go ahead and hop up there. I'll go ahead and show you the T-slot method first. Normally what you would do is you would measure out and cut your strips to fit around your T-bolts, but for today's demonstrations we're going to go ahead and just remove the whole strip. What we want to do, we can go ahead and remove our end cap, pull that strip all the way out, set that aside for now, grab our T-bolts, and slide those on in the channel here.

Then we just replace our end cap for now. We can grab one of our carriers and we'll need to install the feet on the underside. You grab the smaller block and you just clip it on and align the holes. Now would be the time that we can set it on our T-bolts. If you want your carrier to be a little bit taller on your load bars, it also includes another height to go on your block here. It's pretty easy, just clips on like that, and that'd be for your thicker boards or your thicker skis.

If you choose to use the block extension as you see there, you'll need to use the longer T-bolt. We're just going to use the shorter ones. We've got standard skis and snowboards. We'll just spread out our T-bolt a little bit and put it into position, just like that. With that position on our T-bolts, let's go ahead and open up our carrier. Our padding can be released from the right and then drawn over to the left.

Just kind of pull that out. Underneath, that's going to reveal our T-bolts. Get our padding all the way out, and once we've got that out of our way, we can grab two levers or screws and tighten that down. We'll just loosely install it for now until we get the other one started, and then we can tighten them down evenly. Another thing you want to do is make sure that you have your carrier positioned the way you want it on your load bar. I'm going to push mine in just a little bit, about right there, and then finish tightening that down. Once I've got them tightened down, I can just push our lever on the inside of the carrier there. Then I'll just replace my pad, push it back down in the slot so we can close it up for now, and then all that we would need to do is repeat that same process on the rear bar and then we've got it. For our clamp method, it assembles just a little bit differently. No blocks go on the bottom, just the clamp. We'll open up our carrier, we'll pull our pad to the side just as we did before. Then we'll take our clamp and the bolt is going to go through the bottom hole. Once we get it through there, we'll take one of our thumb screws or our levers and thread that on. You just want to make sure that your clamp remains horizontal, as you see there, get that all the way tightened up, then push it down inside the carrier. Then we just need to put on our other clamp down here. With both clamps installed, we've gone ahead and replaced our padding within the carrier, and it's really quite easy to get it onto the bar. We don't need to remove the rubber strip because we're not using a T-slot. Undo our clamps, set them right on top of the load bar. The straps just go underneath. Once they're underneath, you just clamp them on to the other side. Then we could tighten it down. Then we could just grab our keys and lock our clamp. Now all we have to do is repeat the same process on the rear load bar. With both carriers installed, it's a good idea to make sure that they're parallel and in line with one another. That way we can get the most out of the carriers themselves, and that way our boards and skis sit evenly. So with that being said, let's go ahead and load some boards and skis. First thing we need to do is open them up. So we'll come up with our first set of skis. I'm going to scoot them all the way to the other side, that way we have room for the rest of our accessories. Then we'll grab another set and go right up next to them. We'll just make sure that they're not touching. That looks good. Same thing here. Just come up, scoot it all the way making sure we have plenty of room. All right. Then we can bring our last board up, put it into position. See, that looks pretty good. We can close them up, and we're looking for two clicks. There's our first one. Give it a good push for our second one, for the same for the rear. With those in place, now we can lock them up and hit the road. Here on our test course, let's first go under our slalom. This is going to show side-to-side action, such as going around corners or evasive maneuvering. Then onto our alternating speed bumps. This is going to show a twisting action, such as going over potholes or uneven pavement. Then, finally, onto our solid speed bumps. This is going to show an up-and-down action, such as pulling in and out of a driveway or out of a parking lot. That's going to complete our look at the Thule Snow Pack ski and snowboard carrier for six skis or four boards, part number TH7326. .

I purchased these ski racks (Thule SnowPack 6) a year ago (November 2017) and they been excellent. I live in CO and I make regular trips up to the mountains during the winter and these racks made a big difference with the ease of getting to the ski resorts. The SpeedLink system allows me to install or remove the racks on in just a few minutes, which has been nice because I took them off for the summer (and am about to put them on again in a few days). The racks seem to be well built and feel very sturdy, and don't show any signs of wear after one season (driving the entire winter with the racks on). They also securely hold your skis and snowboards in place and you will not have to worry about losing them on the highway (I've shook/rocked my snowboard with most of my weight while in was in the rack and it didn't budge). If you are a skier/snowboarder that makes multiple trips up to the resorts in the winter, I'd highly recommend these ski racks. 587977

The ski racks have been working very well. The SpeedLink system has been great as it allows me to take the racks off easily 5 min during the summer and back on again for winter. Looking forward to more snowboarding seasons with these racks!

Install was straightforward. Instructions were clear. The only thing you actually have to think about is measuring the cuts on the rubber strip that covers the channel on the top of the bar. I got this setup to carry skis up to the snow without having to fold down seats and listen to them rattling around for the whole ride. The carrier looks great on the car and does its job well. Had a few pairs of skis up there last weekend to test it out. The rack functioned perfectly and I didn't even notice any additional noise due to the rack or the skis. The carrier is very easy to operate even with thick gloves on. It has a very positive click when fully closed so you know it's all the way shut. Then, once you lock it, you're confident that the skis aren't going anywhere. 334779

Review from a similar SnowPack in Ski and Snowboard Racks

These work great. They are not quiet, but rumble like the wind they create Due to their square shape.I sort of wish I had gone with a trailer hitch system for skis that could be detached, especially as I went for the aerodynamic bars in order to have a quiet rack system. The pull out feature is cool though, and they load easily. I had an idea, why not create a system where the ski attAchment could pivot 90 degrees down horizontal when not carrying skis — they are loudest when not loaded. They would be more aerodynamic and shorter profile all week until it’s time to go skiing. 587670

Review from a similar SnowPack in Ski and Snowboard Racks

Design flaw. The rack only slides well when it's warm and dry and empty. Weighted with skis or cold or snowy-- forget it. And its height on the mount bars makes it difficult to reach if you're under six feet tall. I'm sorry I wasted the money. 590168

Comments
According to our Thule representative, the fit between the sliding and the stationary portion of the skisnowboard carrier is by necessity fairly snug in order to prevent rattling. Because of this, and road grime or debris that has collected in the tracks can indeed make it difficult to slide the carrier. Thule recommends using a brush occasionally to clean the tracks and to lightly lubricate the tracks with spray lubricant.

  • Availability of Replacement Top Mounting Clip for Thule Universal Flat Top Carrier 91725
I do have an alternative solution for you to carry your skis with a Thule carrier, but unfortunately just as you stated, the top mounting bracket part of your Flat Top Ski Carrier 91725 isn't replaceable. If you still prefer to use a Thule ski carrier then we have the SnowPack # TH7326 which is the upgraded version. This carrier does have replacement mounting kit # 7521241001 which is both the top and bottom should you ever need to replace it.

The roof rack I recommend is the Rhino Rack part numbers # RRVA126B-2, # RRRCL4, and # RRRCP27-BK for if the rails have a chrome center section that run down the middle of them or the part # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK234 if the rails are solid black without the metal center...

The Thule SnowPack Ski & Snowboard Carrier - 6 Skis or 4 Boards # TH7326 is a fit for round crossbars. It will work fine on the round bars of your Adventure Rack Basket if they are similar to the 1-1/8 inch diameter of a roof rack crossbar. Depending on the diameter of your bar, it is sometimes difficult to get the clamps tight enough without damaging them. If you need extra...

If it's cold outside, the strap can also become a lot less flexible, and lose a little bit of distance. You can let the strap out a little further to make up this difference. I do recommend, if at all possible, to have the bindings facing down towards the roof to decrease wind noise and drag.

  • Parts Needed to Attach Thule # TH7326 SnowPack Ski/Snowboard Carrier to 2007 Honda Civc 4DR
You would first need a roof rack for the vehicle. The roof rack would provide the crossbars that are the attachment point for the # TH7326 ski/snowboard rack. To equip the 2007 Civic Sedan with a Thule roof rack, you'd need the following parts: Crossbars, part # TH712400 Roof Rack Feet, part # TH710501 Vehicle Specific Fit Kit, part # TH145190 You also might be interested in a fairing, part # TH8702. Square crossbars can create some wind noise, and a fairing will help quiet that. Rhino...

  • Parts Needed to Attach Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier to 2014 Honda CR-V with Naked Roof
In order to mount the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # TH7326 to your 2014 Honda CR-V, you will also need a roof rack system. I recommend the Thule WingBar roof rack. The crossbars aerodynamic design provides a much quieter ride than traditional square bars. I have attached a review video of the WingBars for you. The SnowPack will work...

The Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier - Low Profile - Locking - 6 Skis or 4 Boards - Silver # TH7326 is compatible with the Yakima Jet Sream Crossbars like # Y00426. The Jetstream bars are 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall with T-slot dimensions of 1" wide x 1/2" tall. You will need to determine if you are using the SpeedLink Mounting Hardware or the T-slot hardware. Either options will work well for mounting your carrier to the crossbars. If you are using the SpeedLink, the straps do...

  • Replacing Speed-Link Hardware on a Thule Rooftop Ski Carrier
I reached out to Thule and unfortunately they do not offer replacement speed-link hardware for their Ski carriers and Part # 7533998 is not compatible, as it is intended for the older FlatTop models. If you'd want to replace the carrier, I'd recommend the Thule SnowPack carrier, part # TH7326. The SnowPack includes the Speed-Link mounting system you're familiar with as well as larger than normal buttons that are easy to open with gloves on. It also includes T-Track spacers to help acommodate...
