You're right, the mounting bracket is unique (in a good way) for the Curt TriFlex NEXT Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV.
The bracket is smaller and all you do is put the included adhesive tape on the bracket and stick it wherever you like under your dash. Screws are also included and you can use them with the adhesive to mount the bracket under your dash. Then you'll simply slide in the TriFlex NEXT controller and that's it.
This type of bracket takes up less space than the normal U-shaped... view full answer...
Hi Carl; the saddle attachment on the Power Mountain Tallboy Off-Road Bottle Jack # PM34FR is 3-1/4" wide at the base of it before the sides flare out. What will you be using the jack for? view full answer...
Both the Roadmaster and Blue Ox tow bars are great options. But if it was my decision to make I would go with the Blue Ox Avail part # BX7420 as we have found that the Blue Ox tow bars are a little easier to connect and disconnect from. Also this tow bar has a 10,000 lb weight capacity so it would easily cover basically anything. The Avail has longer arms too which helps the vehicle track a little better as well. view full answer...
Hey Christian, welcome to the world of RV-ing! So in addition to the Roadmaster Nighthawk # RM-676 you're also goin to need:
- A baseplate kit, like the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5. These attach to the Jeep itself so you can hook up the tow bars.
- A braking system, like the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251 with the stop light switch # RM-751490. This braking system is a bit more involved set-up wise, but once... view full answer...
Yes, it will! You'll want to cut off the 4-way connector of the Curt Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles item # C96JR and install the 6-way connector that comes with the Curt Tow Bar 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord w/ 6-Way Socket item # C59HR.
With the 6-way installed you can use the included cord to connect it with the 7-Way on your RV. The center pin on the 6-way is wired for 12V power so this is where you'll want to connect your RVi Brake towed battery charger.

Hi Joe; just like the Curt # C96NR, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT42GR does not allow for a 20" spare tire. However, we do have the Blue Ox Trailer Hitch Receiver # BLU46HR. I just reached out to Blue Ox and they said it will accommodate the larger spare. This fits the 2021-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L so you can install it on your 2021 Summit L.
Are you going to use the hitch for towing? If so, you will also need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C27BR.... view full answer...
Hi Ken,
Starting with the wiring harness, I can verify for you the correct fit for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited without a tow package is indeed the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118786.
Then for the hitches, the biggest difference between the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13392 and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT78MR is the length of the receiver.
The Draw-Tite has a shorter receiver that can make it a bit more of a pain to add a ball mount... view full answer...
Thanks for that photo, and since you have a bumper with D-ring attachments, you would not need base plates; in fact, base plates wouldn't be able to be installed, so instead you would need a bumper adapter that attaches to the D-ring attachments.
Your bumper does need to be rated for flat towing so you'll need to check with the manufacturer to ensure that if you're not certain, but if it is, and if the bumper has a 1" or 7/8" pin hole and the tab is 3/4", 7/8", or 1" then what you will... view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out to us here at etrailer. It looks like there might be some D-rings on your bumper. Is that correct? If so, do you know the measurement of those D-rings? You should be able to attach a photo to a response to this answer. view full answer...
Hey Anthony thanks for stopping by! The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR will work fine with your step thru bikes, but you're also going to need an adapter bar # HRBA-PRO.
If you're not sold on the Sport Rider SE, then I'd suggest going with the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR. This rack is very similar to the SportRider SE but does not require the adapter bar for step thru bikes.
Both racks can handle the exact same size bikes, so whichever you choose you'll be set! If there... view full answer...
There are a few differences between the Universal Installation Kit part # ETBC7 and the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit part # ETBC7L. The biggest one is that part # ETBC7 comes with both the power and brake output wire you will need to run to the cab/battery whereas the part # ETBC7L only comes with the power wire you will need to run to the battery. The reason for this is because part # ETBC7L is geared more towards wireless brake controllers like the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part... view full answer...
Hey Craig, thanks for reaching out!
The Yakima SmarT-Slot Mounting Kit # Y25AV is only compatible with the newer Yakima roof cargo boxes so you unfortunately won't be able to utilize it with the older RocketBox design.
If you're needing to replace the mounting clamp for your older RocketBox then the SkyBox Replacement Mounting Clamp # Y62XR will actually work, according to Yakima.
Other than that we're looking at getting you a whole new box. If this is the case just let me know what... view full answer...
In order to flat tow your Jeep Liberty behind an RV/motorhome, you need a base plate kit, a tow bar, safety cables, a lighting solution, a supplemental braking system, and likely a high-low adapter.
Starting with the base plate kit, I recommend the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit # RM-521423-5. These base plates are custom fit for your Jeep and feature a hidden bracket design for a clean look when you aren't towing. Its black powder coat finish is durable and will work do a nice job of... view full answer...
For your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler, I recommend the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit #RM-521453-5. This base plate kit is confirmed to fit your Jeep with the factory bumper and will work perfectly with your existing Falcon 2 Tow Bar. When installing the base plates, you will likely need to trim some fascia to allow enough room for the receivers (see attached pictures).
I have attached the complete installation instructions that you can also look through.

Yes, you can swap out your cap sensors for internal sensors and they will work with your current TST-507-RV-4 system. We offer the internal sensors individually with part # TST-507-INT-S1. Definitely a good idea if you don't want to have to worry about a sensor going missing. The internal batteries usually last at least 5 years. view full answer...

Hopkins doesn't have any exceptions for their Wiring Kit # HM39VR which normally means it's compatible, but even though this is easier to install than a lot of the other options, from my experience I try to shy away from most of the Hopkins wiring solutions because they just simply aren't super reliable.
The best option for your 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit # RM63MR and is ultimately what... view full answer...
Hey Mark, so the correct Blue Ox base plate kit to use with the Blue Ox Ascent tow bar part # BX4375. is the part # BLU53FR.
For lighting you can use # C96JR, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing as this plugs inline with the taillight connectors.
Then for the braking system the Air Force One part # SM99243 would be what you would want and you'd be set. view full answer...
Yes, there is a trailer brake controller plug on a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee WL. In order to utilize this you'll need a trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller part # TK63VR and an adapter harness like the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # TK93VR which all makes for a plug-in-play installation.
Please note, if you don't want to search under the dash for the plug or drill into the dash to mount the controller you can... view full answer...
Hey Ed! It looks like you put together a great list of parts. I'm going to list everything out here with links so it is all in one place, including my suggestions. For a complete setup you will need the following:

-etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR (includes safety cables)
-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267 (If you do not have ParkSense)

There are several vehicles that require you to disconnect the vehicle battery when flat towing. The solution then to power a braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is to use an outlet kit like the part # RM-9332.
This wire directly to the vehicle battery so that you can get power for the system directly while still allowing the vehicle battery to be disconnected. view full answer...
