Trailer wiring can take a beating from moisture, dirt, and corrosion. The EZ Connector Magnetic 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Pigtail Harness with 7-Way Connector seals tight to keep out water and grime. The magnetic connection holds firm and automatically aligns the contacts, so you get a solid, weather-resistant link every time you hook up.
Switching between trailers is easier when your wiring connects quickly and consistently. This harness uses a 7-contact plug-in layout built for 5th wheel and gooseneck towing setups. The connection stays secure even on rough roads, giving you steady power for brakes, lights, and charge lines without having to fight loose pins or misaligned plugs.
Adding an in-bed connector or replacing an old one is straightforward with this plug-and-lead style harness. It’s designed to tie into your existing vehicle end wiring, so you can mount it where you need it for easy trailer access. The pigtail length gives you room to route the wiring neatly while keeping everything within reach.

Whether you’re setting up a new tow rig or upgrading an older setup, the universal fit design gives flexibility across different installs. The rugged build quality and magnetic contacts are made for repeated connections without wear or loss of conductivity, keeping your trailer wiring dependable season after season.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the EZ Connector Magnetic Fifth Wheel or Gooseneck Pigtail Harness with Seven-Way Connector. This provides a seven-way connector in your truck bed for hooking up your fifth wheel and gooseneck trailer. The connector mounts on the truck bed sidewall, tailgate post, or wheel well. It does require a 2" minimum diameter hole for the installation. This is a pigtail harness that needs to be hard-wired into your vehicle's wiring system. With this installed, it does retain the use of your factory seven-pole connector at the rear of your vehicle. Be sure to connect your wires based off of function and not just rely on color coding.
So, you'll want to test each wire and connect by function. That's the safest, most effective way to make your connections. Now, right here at the seven-way connector, it uses a powerful magnet to join with the magnet in an EZ Connector Trailer End Plug, which is sold separately, and it really provides nice tight secure connection. The plug will stay tightly connected despite the bumps and vibrations common with towing. I do have a trailer end plug, for example, just to show how to make that connection. So, basically what you'll do is you would take the plug from your trailer, lift open the lid, line up the indention with the pin, and allow it to connect, and then you can allow this to come back on top of the plug there. That provides a nice tight secure connection.
It's very easy to use. When you're ready to disconnect, just pull it out and then this is a self-closing lid. That way it covers up those connection points, keeps them safe from dirt, grime, moisture, which is really going to help prevent corrosion. Now, when connected, the system uses face-to-face electrical contacts, so there's no pins or blades to bend or break, which eliminates concerns about electrical arcing and abraded pins. The contacts are also very easy to clean when necessary. The unit features a silicon O-ring on the lid that creates a watertight seal when the lid is closed to keep out moisture and debris, and the unit uses marine-grade wiring to resist water damage. This is a spring-loaded, self-closing lid that automatically covers the connector.
It does come with a hardware bag, so you're going to get detailed installation instructions and all the necessary hardware you need. You get butt connectors, heat shrink tubing, all that's included, as well as a heavy duty zip tie. This is a four-hole mount installation, so you can see there, we got four mounting holes to mount it in the bed of our truck. When it comes to the cable length, we're looking at about 4' long and the product's covered with a limited lifetime warranty. That's going to do it for today's look at the EZ Connector Magnetic Fifth Wheel or Gooseneck Pigtail Harness with Seven-Way Connector.
