Compact Spray-Away Unit Is Easy to Use
The Spray-Away quick-connect hookup allows you to connect a quick-connect hose (PF267003 - sold separately) so that you can rinse gear, wash your boat or vehicle, extinguish your campfire, clean fish, and more. This eliminates the need for a bulky garden hose, which takes up a lot of space.
The plastic compression valve of this unit has two easily accessibly knobs for cold water and hot water.
The swivel quick-connect valve on the inside of the unit makes it easy to connect and disconnect the hose. This means that you don't have to take the time to open any valves or screw on a hose.
Bolt-On Installation
This unit is compatible with standard RV and marine plumbing systems. It installs with the mounting holes and the standard male NPSM connections on the unit's housing. Hardware is not included. It should be noted that if you don't already have an existing spray unit, then first you will need to cut through the sidewall of your RV or boat. Sealant (sold separately) is required.

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Phoenix Faucets Dual-Handle Spray-Away unit with quick connect. This hot and cold spray port allows you to gain quick and easy access to your water source, so you can easily rinse off your gear or wash your vehicle or boat. The quick connect design allows you to quickly attach the quick connect spray-away hose. That item is not included, so it will need to be provided separately. It is available here at etrailer.com. Now, this is going to install in less than an 8 inch square opening, so it's actually a really nice compact design. It's going to be great for hot and cold water supply when working with the sin away outdoor sink system.
The unit's made of a strong and durable black plastic construction. The door, right here, has a thumb latch mechanism that way it will remain closed when it's not being used. When you're installing the unit, the cut out area that you're going to need . That's going to measure about 5 1/2" by 5 1/2". In the instructions, they do recommend that you allow a mounting depth of around 6". Now, the hot and cold water lines, these are going to be separated on center by 3 3/8".
These connection points are going to have a length measurement of about an 1 1/2" long. They're going to have an outer diameter of 13/16" with an inner diameter of a 1/2". It does have the mounting nuts on the back side. That's designed to hold the actual mechanism in here in place. That way it doesn't shake around or move.
It has a really nice tight, secure feel to it. Taking a look at the overall measurements of the unit. Measuring from edge to edge going this directions, we're looking at about 7 1/2". It should be a square design, so the same thing going this direction. Right around 7 1/2". I do want to point out that the mounting holes go around the perimeter of the mounting flange.
Then, the knobs on the inside, very easy to access and very easy to operate. I do have a hose here just to show you how easily it will fit into that fitting. When you're ready to attach your hose, all you've got to do is push it in, and that's really all there is to it. When you're ready to disconnect, push down the housing, and the hose disconnects from the fitting. That's going to do it for today's look at the Phoenix Faucet Dual-Handle Spray-Away Unit with quick connect.

I used this to replace a D&W Spray-Away Exterior Hose System. The prior unit worked fine, I simply needed the room on the inside of the trailer for battery storage. The new unit takes up far less space and I really never used the hose anyhow.
The new unit doesn't lend itself to being insulated inside the door. The old unit had more room for insulation inside the door. The hot/cold knobs are in the way.
For what it is, it's a good unit.

Easy to get install and worked good. Started dripping after a months use. But the cartridges are removable and I was able to install new washers. Worked OK through the rest of the season. Don't over tighten the taps when turning off, everything inside is plastic. Also I would suggest a set of shutoffs on the inlet hookups so it can be isolated for servicing. Be careful of the inlet check valves, they can fall out in pieces.

Nonetheless, the valve will need to be replaced at the very least using the Replacement Spray-Away Quick Connect Valve part # PF247008 or you could just replace the body and valve with the D&W Inc Dual Handle...
