This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Triangle ST235/85R16, heavy-duty radial trailer tire in a Load Range G. Now this Triangle heavy-duty special trailer radial tire is designed for use on trailers. We mentioned it's a special trailer design, has the ST stamping on it. This couples the strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. And it is created specifically for trailers.
It's not intended for use on other vehicles. This does use an all-steel belt construction to enhance durability and extend the tread life. The tread design, if you look at it, it's a nice, computer-generated tread design and it offers premium rubber compound materials to give you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. This does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. And just to go over the size, which would be stamped on the sidewall, you can see we mentioned ST, for special trailer, 235/85R16.
The R means that it is a radial tire. Section width on this tire, 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from bottom to the top is 31.7. And we mentioned this is a Load Range G, which means it's a 14-ply rated tire. So the maximum load on this, if it's used in a single tire application is 4,400 pounds at 110 PSI.
And if it's used in a dual tire application, it's 3,860 pounds at 110 PSI. And the last thing I do wanna mention is they do come with a speed rating now, and the speed rating is stamped on the sidewall with a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the size we went over. You'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter L. Speed rating L on this tire means that it has a 75 mile per hour speed rating.
But that's gonna do it for the review on this Triangle ST235/85R16 heavy-duty radial trailer tire in a Low Range G.
