Video Transcript for Breaking Down the GloLight LED Transit Tail Light

Today we're going to take a look at the round seven inch glow light three function LED transit light.Now this is a nice round trailer transit light that'll serve three functions, tail light function, brake light function and your turn signal light function.This one happens to be a glow light design. This glow light lens will create a nice solid light pattern, it's a nice smooth appearance. The outer band of LEDs will function as a turn signal and brake light and that solid section, the glow light part will act as a tail light.I am going to hook this up to some power in the end of the video here just to show you how bright it is.This is a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. It is submersible. It's a polycarbonate housing and an acrylic lens and this light does use the SMT technology, which is surface mount technology.It's a durable construction of the LED circuit board. Helps better withstand shock and vibration, allows improved heat distribution and thinner construction.The LEDs of this light will make great replacements for incandescent lights because they'll last 50 times longer, they're more efficient, they'll provide brighter light with less power output and of course no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break and there is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs.This is a red lens over 32 white LEDs.

It is designed to Mount on the surface of the trailer with the built-in flange. Now the hardware to install this is not included. It does include the gasket on the back. This does accept the industry standard three prong plug. We do sell that separately on our website.This light is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant.

It does meet the federal motor vehicle safety standard 108 and the Canadian motor vehicle safety standard requirements for automotive lighting.A few specs on this. The power draw at 12.8 volts for the tail light is .135 amps. For the stop and turn light circuit is .340 amps.Dimensions on this again. Diameter of this is seven inches. Total depth of it is right about one and five eighths inches and what I've done is connected some clips to the plugs.

We can turn the power on and show you what it lights up like.We'll go ahead and turn our 12 volt power on. You can see there's your glow light, the middle section. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and probably on the video that you're looking at, this ring actually probably looks yellow, but actually in real life it is a red ring, so it's a solid, that would be your tail light function. Then when you hit your brakes, there would be your brake lights. Then when you do your turn signal, that would be your turn signal also.Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights and we'll turn off our 12 volt power, but that should do it for the review on the round seven inch glow light three function LED transit light..
