LED Trailer Tail Light Lights up Wrong LEDs on One Side when Brakes are Applied
Published 10/02/2014 >
Question:
I have a 2010 Hi-Lo trailer that has what appears to be this taillight. I have noticed that the brake/turn signal leds are not all lighting. The inside ring lights on one side and the outside ring lights on the other side. Is there any way to connect them so all the leds will work, or are these defective units?

Take a look at the video I have linked to the right that shows how the LED trailer tail light # STL90RB is supposed to light up. The outer LEDs light up bright when the brakes are applied. If this is how your lights are lighting up then they are functioning normally.
But it sounds like you have one that is functioning normal and one that is functioning opposite of how it should be. The center of the light is the running light and the outer LEDs are the brake and turn signal.
On the one that lights up in the center with the brake lights instead of the running lights, the wires must be switched causing the outside LEDs to light up with the running light circuit instead of the brake/turn signal.
