6-7/16" Waterproof light displays brake, tail, and turn signals on your trailer. Mounts in a cutout with a grommet (sold separately) and works with 3-prong plugs.
Features:
Specs:
This light has a standard 3-prong plug that connects to your vehicle or trailer with a PL-3 pigtail adapter. Pick up the right-angle pigtail (A47PB - sold separately) or the straight pigtail (A45PB - sold separately) if you don't have one already.
This light installs in a grommet (A70GB - sold separately) and requires cutting a hole into your trailer if it doesn't have one already.
If you'd rather not cut a hole in your trailer, you can use an optional mounting bracket (BK70BB - sold separately) instead. You will still need the A70GB grommet.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light, part number STL412RB. It features 4 DOT-approved LEDs and because it's LEDs, it's more efficient and there are no bulbs to replace. It's a 6 and a half inch oval light that serves 3 functions. You have your break, your turn signal, and your tail light. It features a sonically sealed waterproof housing and fits flush with a grommet. The grommet we recommend is part number A70GB.
Now, it comes in a quantity of 1 so if you're looking to replace both tail lights, you'll need to pick up 2 which is what we recommend. Now, we'll show you how we got it installed. First thing we need to do is remove that old incandescent bulb. We're just going to take it out with our fingers here. If you need to, you can use a flat head screwdriver to pry it out of the grommet. If you're not replacing the grommet, you want to leave that in place.
Now that we've got it out, let's go and disconnect it. Let's use 2 fingers to wheel it and pry it off till it comes loose. Now if your plugs are old and abused like ours, you want to go ahead and clean those off with a wire brush just to ensure we got a good connection when we reconnect our new light. That looks pretty good. We can grab our new light now.
They're going to come pre-greased up. We'll just line up our tabs and the plugs and push it firmly in place. Now let's test it up. Let's go and try the brake. Perfect. Now our turn signal.
Great. Then finally our tail lights. Works great. We'll just get it placed right back in the grommet and we've got it. If anything we're to ever happen to the LEDs, they feature a lifetime warranty. That's going to complete our look of the Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light, part number STL412RB.
