The sturdy steel construction is protected with a matte black finish for added durability. This unique powder coating gives etrailer hitches a carbide-like appearance and a rugged look that sets them apart from traditional glossy hitches. In addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. THEY PRODUCED A HELPFUL VIDEO AS WELL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ETRAILER!
Submitted the update. Great product, thanks for the followup. I ended up getting a second hitch to go on my wife's SUV so I could move the bike rack over to use on family trips.
Great frame and fairly easy installation. Prep work will be needed with thoroughly cleaning the car threaded holes. I used Wd40 and a nylon brush. Etrailer also reached out to make sure everything was OK with the delivery and product itself. This hitch is mainly being used for a 4 bike rack which I also purchased. The fascia panel was able to be placed back on when the hitch was not in use, which I was very pleased. Seeing the comment of the fascia panel possibly not being able to be placed back after installation, was cosmetically worrisome.
The Hollywood Racks Roadrunner. It's a very nice tilting bike rack so you can open your SUV back gate. The arms are collapsible as well for easy storage when not in use.
Will definitely look into purchasing the cargo carrier to add for road trips. Great affordable products with especially great service.
I ordered this hitch receiver for my 2013 Buick Enclave to be mostly used for carrying multiple mountain bikes. The hitch arrived a few days earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Very fast shipping. I got to installing it right away; the fit was perfect and the installation was...tricky.
I backed my vehicle up onto ramps which gave me plenty of room to work underneath. I removed the rear fascia covering. I sprayed the rubber supports which hold the exhaust in order to lower the dual exhaust pipes. With a bit of "back and forth" on the four supports I was able to release the supports and lower each pipe.
I first installed the two center bolts which went in with no problems. My vehicle does not have existing threaded bolts for the center attachments, so I used the "hook and pull" method as shown in the video to guide the bolts and the locking rectangular supports through the bumper to the existing holes. This was relatively effortless, but it would have helped if the wire guides supplied with the hitch were 12 inches longer. Placing the hitch in its proper position with the help of my daughter, I initially secured the hitch with the center bolts to then attach the four side bolts. Previously, I ordered the suggested nylon brush to clean out the existing threads under my car. I cleaned the threads out as directed in the video but, as it turned out, the cleaning needed to be much more extensive than I realized. After struggling to hand ratchet in the bolts I gave up and left the hitch bolted with only the two center bolts. I watched the video again and I noticed the installer in the video used a battery powered ratchet. Ah hah! To the hardware store I went to buy my own lithium ratchet. I figured it would come in handy to own this tool.
With my brand new ratchet charged and ready I went back to the task at hand. I liberally sprayed WD-40 in the holes and aggressively used the nylon brush on all four threaded holes under the vehicle. Then I eagerly attempted to use the power of the ratchet to finish the job. Well, shoot...the ratchet is too long. I then lowered the spare tire to get to the bolts and use my lithium ratchet. Well, even with my ratchet that has rated torque of 35ft-lbs, it couldn't get past the accumulated filth mucking up the threads, it would stall without cinching the bolts tightly against the washers. So, I then just used the lithium ratchet to pull the bolt "back and forth" (or up and down) which in theory would loosen the compressed and hardened thread blockage, and the bolts should go all the way in snug against the hitch. That worked! Whew. Finally. I then snugged and torqued all six bolts appropriately, buttoned up the exhausts, re-installed the fascia and it looks wonderful. Now I'm ready to go mountain biking again. Yay! Thanks etrailer!
Trailer hitch info led me to believe it would fit my 2012 Acadeia and also allow the stock cover on the bumper to fit over hitch, it did not.
The hitch was delivered on time and took me about 45 minutes to install. The price was right and the hitch appears to be of great quality!
I ordered on Tuesday and the hitch arrived on Thursday morning. I was shocked.
I installed the hitch on my wife's 2014 Acadia with dual exhaust. I did it by myself and did not have to drop the exhaust. It took about an hour, working at a relaxed pace. One of the fish wires gave me a lot of trouble and the other went right in. I did need to grind the rectangular hole to fit the carriage bolt in. I used a drill with a rasp bit. A die grinder or file would work as well. It was very little that needed to be ground down.
The hitch looks great. The original cover fit like it should. The hitch does not impede it at all. I had some black semi gloss Rustoleum in the cabinet and painted all of the bolts.
We plan to use it for a bike rack, initially. Eventually we plan to purchase a small RV (4000 lbs or so), install a wiring kit, a transmission cooler, and a tow switch. I am confident this hitch will do the job.
Installed this hitch in less than 30 minutes. WOW! Came with a spring wire to fish 2 of the mounting bolts into holes which I think were the greatest invention yet. Never thought mounting a hitch would be so easy. They even provided videos to help.
Etrailer does it again! Always timely delivery, always a great fit, and always ways to make putting the hitch on easy. Thanks for the wires to pull the carriage bolts through the frame and the nice instructions (including video for my vehicle type). When I need some hitch parts this is the place. Hitch and wiring purchased for 2012 Buick Enclave.
I ordered the car hitch for my Buick Enclave and it was delivered sooner than I expected. It is a well built hitch and it took me and a friend to install it in just a few minutes. It fit like a hand in a glove, very well aligned. I recommend etrailer for you hitch and trailer needs. A 5 star company.
Great product!! Installed just like video said and took about 20 minutes. Everything was included I didn't have to purchase anything extra. I would recommend this produce to anyone needing a great trailer hitch.
Received the receiver and after watching the video to install, successfully installed the receiver quickly. All bolts were provided. The fishing tool is very helpful.
Hitch receiver was very well designed and fit the 2014 Buick Enclave perfectly and remained hidden behind the factory rear facia panel, exactly as I had hoped. Well done!
I bought this product for my 2017 Chevy Traverse. So far a great product. Easy to install, specially with the help of their video on their website. Also, it was delivered super fast. I greatly recommend it. I am very satisfied. I will continue buying other items from them for my Chevy and my other 2 vehicles.
This hitch receiver has been a game changer. Our Acadia is now the trailer-tow vehicle freeing up the truck. I had the hitch installed by a professional mechanic. Highly recommend; and it was a great price. George at etrailer helped ensure I got exactly the parts needed to properly setup the Acadia for towing.
Great product, perfect fit on my wifes 2013 Buick Enclave. Easy to install with all appropriate hardware and instructions.
I thought it was as good as a researcher draw tight for Kurt that I would stall before I'd recommend it to anybody
Everything worked well and only took me about 45 minutes to install not counting watching the video which I did before purchasing. Very solid steel frame. I am primarily using it for bike rack and small trailers. The wire that comes in the kit to pull the carriage bolt and washer through the tube was awesome. I did have to jiggle it a little bit at first to get it to slide through.
went right on and it took less then 30 min to do was very happy that I got it from you guys at etrailer
The hitch fit perfect. All the hardware was correct. Very Happy with the product I received
Works great. You can't see it at all when not using. I pulled my old Nissan Xterra up to Indianapolis, Indiana from Lake Charles,Louisiana with no problems. Actually just used it today to pull my small 13' tilt bed trailer to go pick up a portable generator I bought.
Great piece of equipment. Easy to install and fit perfectly.
I watched this video I was able to install on 2011 Traverse with minimum assistance. Installed at home without lifting the car. Compressed air and w4-40 to clean the threads. Used a jack stand for support while starting the bolts. I used 3/4 in ratchet wrench for install. Took less than an hour including gathering tools, creeper etc. For reference I think I'm handy but not experienced for this type of work.
Easy installation.
Install was very easy even by myself. Definitely had to remove 3 of the exhaust hangers and drop the muffle down onto a jack stand to get access to the bolts on the passenger side but that was not difficult. The fish wires for the center bolts worked great. Only trouble I had was cleaning out the holes on the drivers side. It took a lot of WD40 and an old brush to clean the holes out until I could get hit wbolts to thread all the way in. My wife is very excited to get the bike carrier installed and loaded up. Would definitely recommend this to others.
