Start your engine easier and warm your cab faster in cold weather with this frost-plug-style engine block heater. Heating your engine coolant keeps it from thickening and freezing, resulting in more reliable start-ups and smoother operation altogether. It also lessens the workload and extends the life of your vehicle's battery. And because starting your engine when it's warm creates less condensation in the engine block than starting it when it's cold, your engine will get better initial fuel vaporization, which causes fewer emissions and less pollution.
This frost-plug heater replaces the core plug in your engine block. The power cord on the heater is removable so that you won't need to buy a whole new heater if the cord gets damaged. The cord can be routed through your grille for easy access to a 120-volt outlet or extension cord. If needed, a longer or shorter cord (sold separately) can be purchased to better fit your application. Make sure the heating element is fully submerged in the coolant before plugging it in.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kats Heaters Custom Engine Block Heater Frost Plug Style. This ensures smoother start-ups and faster eating and defrosting of your cab. It replaces the frost plug or core plug in the engine block and submerges in coolant. This is going to warm your engine fluid to increase lubrication and performance. What that does is it simply keeps the fluid from thickening and it protects against damage in colder weather. It also helps preheat the engine to reduce condensation in the engine block.
It's going to emit less pollution and fewer gas emissions. It does come with the removable power cord, so you loosen up this nut right here, and then the power cord will disengage. That way, if you ever damage the cord, you don't have to get a whole new element. You can just replace the actual power cord. Then to get it tightened back on there, you just plug it in, and then you'd want to go ahead and tighten that nut all the way down. The power cord simply wraps through your grill and plugs into a standard 120-volt AC outlet.
The outlet right here is constructed of a durable copper. It's going to be custom fit for your vehicle. CSA approved and it's made in the USA. Really nice design. The thread size on this is 1 inch NPT.
Heating element length is going to measure 1 inch long. Wattage is 400 watts and amperage is 3.3 amps. Please note that you do not use this heater with 100% antifreeze solution and do not start your engine with the heater plugged in. That's going to do it for today's look at the Kats Heaters Custom Engine Block Heater with the Frost Plug Style.
