I bought this rack for the main purpose of helping me to load my kayak onto the roof of my 4 dr Jeep Wrangler. Because of the spare tire configuration I needed a hitch extension to clear the wheel. An 8 in would of been ideal, i could only find a 12in. It makes it a bit wobbly so a strap is needed to secure! Husband is looking forward to using as a truck bed extender. 819672

My order from Thursday arrived on Saturday. Everything was exactly as expected. I have ordered things from etrailer numerous times over the years, they always arrive quickly as totally as expected. Good company.316135

They work well and serve their purpose. We use them quite a lot. They only negative I have about them is the red wheel securement straps. They tend to not last very long, less than a year. I have had to order numerous replacement sets from Swagman. They need to make them out of much tougher material.

Unfortunately, these nylon straps break down in the ultra violet of the south east. The straps are an exact replacement for a bike rack I have, and those original straps also had the same problem of UV degradation and eventually breaking.870372

We needed something to hold our 2 cruiser bikes on an 8 hour drive from south texas to dallas and these bike racks have done that and then some. there was no rattling which i was expecting and although i don't know how a single person would be able to lift and remove their bike, my husband and i managed just fine. We now use these bike racks weekly to transport our bikes to the park. And if you are wondering about the install i did watch the video and it took like 20 minutes to build and install. They are on my van to stay.225372

These are great tie downs for the bike wheels on the Swagman upright roof bike rack. It adds a lot of stability to the bike during travel and never comes out. Its easy to use and reliable. I would definitely buy these again. 291890

Disappointed. While these straps are a great size for many different uses I found the webbing to be dry and pretty thin. I noticed that the end of the webbing started unraveling right out of the bag and then broke on the first use without much effort. I would not trust these to hold my bike or anything else you care about. 200069
